REGULAR PAST TENSE (Pasado regular)
Con la mayoría de los verbos, el pasado regular se forma añadiendo –ed al verbo en infinitivo. Pero con algunos verbos hay algunas variaciones HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE PAST
VERB ENDING
EXAMPLES
Si el verbo termina en –e,
Sólo añadimos –d
Live – lived,
arrive – arrived
Si el verbo termina en consonante +y
Cambiamos la –y por –i y añadimos –ed
Cry cried try tried
fry
Una vocal + una consonante (pero no w or y)
Doblamos la consonante y añadimos –ed

Resto de los casos

Añadimos –ed
Recordad que hay otros verbos que no siguen esta norma (lista de verbos irregulares que hemos estado estudiando a lo largo de todo el curso)
