They may have a connection to Yorkshire either through being born and bred of through the connection of uni. They will enjoy the out doors and exploring / discovering new places. They will be wither Male or Female aged 20 - 37

CONTEXT / PURPOSE:

SUZANNE MOORE

PURPOSE:

BOOKSHOP

The Purpose of Face In-t’mud is to explore and advertise what Yorkshire has to offer. The locations that will get visited are the main focus of each edition so will work well as a tourist pieces. The magazine will be entertaining and a light escape from life.

The Magazine would be availbe in arty bookstores such as the above. The context of an arty book shop works well as it will garrentee that the inteded audeice will view the magazine.

LO-FI:

SPONTANIOUS

ANALOGUE:

The magazine is intended to be seen as a lo-fi - DIY publishing piece. The aspect of Lo-fi is due to the fact that we would want this quarterly magazine toe be a freebee so if the production is Lo-fi costs will stay down. One way this could be done is through the use of news print stock as it is very cheap and holds that lo-fi aesthetic well.

The trip each time is very spontanious and left up to fate as we will visit the town once and whatever happens that day will end up in the magasine. Above is a list of things that could happen / things to look out for.

To keep with the Lo-fi qulaity and aesthetic we will be using analogue cameras. By using a film camera I feel you capture more personality of the location as the colours that come out are very true.

RESEARCH:

SUZANNE MOORE

MAGAZINES I have been looking into magazines about travel and tourism as that is essentially what our magazine is about. By doing this I feel I know more about what people look for in travel magazine. I have also been looking into the layout of both regular magazine and lo-Fi publications to note what the differences are. BRIEF THIRTEEN

PENISTONE:

RUBBINGS

The location of choice for this eddition of Face -in’t Mud is Penistone. Penistone is a place I knew little about which is why is was so appealing as it gave us an oppertunity to go explore. It was intereitng to go there with fresh eyes and see it for the first time na notice all its quirks,

Humans all have there own indvidual fingerprint that makes them unique. We want to capture this but for each individual town. This will be done throgh the act of a rubbing taken from a rock or pacement that will make up thefront cover of the magazine nad eventually a serieous of different rubbings from differemt towns.
