However, there are some foundations, corporations, governments, and other grant-making firms that provide an equal source of revenue for charity.

Individual Donors Individual donors comprise 3/4th of the total charity sources. So, it is vital that you try to raise funds through individual donors by expanding your communication network. For this purpose, you can establish your contacts with well-known personalities, to inform the community of the charity’s purpose or do some publicity for the cause via social media.

Charity Foundations There are two types of foundations: private and public. Both of these foundations raise funds for charity through different activities. These foundations may collect their funds from individual donors or through promoting some activities that involve the source of income which is later on

used for the cause. These charity foundations provide funds to the non-profit firms that spend this amount on a pre-defined charity activity or cause.

Donations And Gifts These are the planned donations or gifts which usually are given as a part of a legacy. These donations are defined in the will of an individual or company in the name of the non-profit organization. Generally, individuals make these donations as a part of their will or sometimes give to get exempt from tax liability. These gifts/donations do not fall under the tax liability, and so, it makes easy for those individuals/firms to do it as a part of the charity and show it in their books under the “gifts” section.

Corporate Funding Many times, profit-making organizations seek opportunities to spread their brand awareness among the people to spread their business. For this purpose, they often do charity funding, which is also known as corporate funding through individual sponsors, or events, or cause-related campaigning. Grants Most of the times, the government provides grants and financial aid to the non-profit organizations to fund for the cause. These grants are not to be paid back to the government or the public sectors who provide grant funding. Lots of grant funding firms provide funds only to those non-profit firms that have the status of “charitable firms.”

Funds Raised From Income Earned Non-profit organizations also raise funds through their income earned through different business activities like retail sales, several program fees, investment accounts, and more. These sources of income are said to be the stable sources of raising funds for the non-profit firms.
