Chilled Ramen Served with Soy Milk Preparing appetizing food is truly an art and is not something that comes to everyone with ease. You need to have a lot of patience, and a ceaseless enthusiasm to prepare delectable food then only you will be able to experiment with unique ingredients seamlessly. Trying out noodle recipes at home can prove to be very helpful as far as nurturing your cooking interest.

You need Sichuan chili paste, Miso tare and chili oil for this dish, all of which can be prepared well in advance. If you have them in stock, you do not need to prepare them while preparing this dish, you can use them as per the measurement. However, if you do not have Sichuan chili paste, Miso tare and chili oil in stock, you can easily make them. So, here are the ingredients that you need for chilled ramen noodles with chili oil and soy milk. Ingredients For Chili Oil


1 tablespoon paprika 2 finely chopped scallions 1/4 vegetable oil Slat as per taste Ingredients For Sichuan Chili Paste 3 to 4 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds 4 tablespoons finely crushed red pepper flakes 1 tablespoon paprika 1 finely chopped piece of ginger 4 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/4 cup sesame oil - toasted 2 teaspoons Sichuan peppercorns 1 tablespoon white miso 1 tablespoon sugar 1 tablespoon sake 1 table rice wine (you can use mirin) Ingredients for Miso tare 1/2 tablespoon red pepper flakes 2 finely sliced scallions 1 tablespoon sake 2 tablespoon toban djan - it is nothing but chili bean paste 1 tablespoon rice wine 2 apple wedges 2/3 cup red miso 1 tablespoon finely grated ginger 2 to 3 finely grated garlic For Noodles 350 grams A-sha noodles 4 cups soy milk 1 thinly sliced orange bell pepper 2 tablespoons soy sauce 2 cucumber - chopped into small pieces 1 thinly sliced radish 1 small bunch of finely chopped basil leaves 1 thinly sliced strip of grapefruit zest 1/4 cup roasted peanuts for toppings Salt as per taste Cooking Directions 1.

If you do not have Sichuan chili paste in your house, start here. Add ingredients including red pepper flakes, paprika, ginger, sesame oil and vegetable oil in a pan and bring them to simmer.

After that, remove the pan from heat and add ingredients like miso, sugar, rice wine, sesame seeds to the pan and whisk them effectively. Then bring them to a simmer once again to complete the process. Once done, then turn off the flames and set your Sichuan chili paste aside.

Now begin to prepare the chili oil- heat some oil in the pan and then add paprika as well as scallions to it and cook them for around two minutes. Then set it aside.

Once you are done with preparing Sichuan chili paste and chili oil, now you can start preparing Miso tare. Add all the Miso tare ingredient in a pan and cook them for around 4 to 5 minutes.

Cook the noodles as per package instructions and once cooked drain the water with a strainer. After draining the water, transfer the noodles to bowl that contains ice water. After some time drain the water completely.

Take a medium-sized bowl and add radishes, bell pepper, cucumber in it. After that add around 3 to 4 tablespoons of Sichuan chili paste in the bowl and mix it effectively with the veggies. Finally, add chopped basil leaves and salt in it.

Now add milk in a bowl and mix miso tare in it. After that add soy sauce and grapefruit zest and whisk them effectively.

Finally, take four bowls and add noodles, veggies and the mixture created with soy milk equally on them. Top the noodles with crunchy peanuts before serving them to your guests.
