A Delectable Mandarin Noodle Recipe The Mandarin noodle recipe that we will discuss today is close to my heart because I learned it from my grandmother a couple of years ago. I am a great fan of noodles because I can easily prepare amazing dishes from them whenever I am super hungry. You can prepare most of the noodle dishes within 30 to 45 minutes. And one of the most interesting things about noodle recipes is that you can always try to enrich their taste by adding the ingredients that you like.

It means you are free to add the meat and fresh vegetables of your choice in any noodle recipe if you want. However, if you want to stick to the authentic taste of a particular dish then it’s better to use the traditional ingredients. For example, we will also use all the traditional Chinese ingredients while preparing Mandarin noodles. Mandarin noodles were initially enjoyed by the Chinese people, however, with the passage of time, these noodles also became popular among the people of other Asian countries like Taiwan, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and Philippines etc. Today, people across the world are crazy for Mandarin noodles and if you also want to try them at home you can order them from online stores like A-Sha Dry Noodles.

Here’re the common ingredients that are used by people for ages now to prepare Mandarin Noodles.

Ingredients for Sauce 2 tbsp dry sherry (you can also use rice wine) 3 tbsp soy sauce (don’t use dark soy sauce) 1 tbsp bean sauce 1 tbsp hoisin sauce 1 teaspoon chili paste ( you can also use chili powder) 1/2 cup reserved mushroom liquid 1 teaspoon honey Ingredients for noodles 1/2 pound Mandarin Noodles 5 to 6 Chinese mushrooms ( use dried ones) 4 quarts cold water 1/4 cup hot water 1/2 cup peanut oil 2 cups bean sprouts 1 tbsp cornstarch ( dissolve it in 2 tbsp cold water) 1 finely chopped red bell pepper 8-ounce size of bamboo shoots ( make sure you cut it into 1/2 inch cubes) 1 thinly sliced scallion 1 tbsp chopped ginger 1 tbsp chopped garlic

Cooking instructions 1.The first step that you have to take while cooking Mandarin noodles is to soak the dried mushrooms in hot water so that they can become a little soft. Keep the mushrooms in water for at least 25 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, you can bring some water to boil in a medium sized pan to cook Mandarin noodles. Cook the noodles exactly according to the instructions offered in the packet. Once noodles are properly boiled you can remove the water and add one tablespoon oil in them. After that keep them aside. 3.Now if your mushrooms are ready you can chop them and keep aside. Make sure you reserve some soaking liquid for preparing the sauce. 4. After that, take a medium sized bowl and add all the sauce ingredients in it. Make sure you stir all the ingredients effectively. Once your sauce is ready, you can keep it aside.

5. Now take a wok and heat some oil in it over medium flames. Add ginger and garlic in the wok and stir fry them for a minute. Then add the veggies in the wok which include red bell pepper, mushrooms, and bean sprouts. Stir fry them for a minute. 6.You can now add bamboo shoots in the wok. 7.After that, you can add the sauce to the work and stir the whole thing for a minute. 8.Now you can add the dissolved cornstarch in the wok and mix it with the rest of the ingredients. 9.Finally, add noodles in the wok and mix them properly with the veggies. Keep stirring the noodles for a few minutes and then turn off the flames.
