FUSION

Marconi Radiant Revival, 72 x 24 inches

Translating the "Essence of Nature" into Art Contemporary Artist Dick Marconi speaks gently and with precision. An obvious intellectual with a deep knowledge on many subjects, his manner is that of a benevolent genius who can dial it up or down to mix in any crowd. The attraction to the man and his art are obvious. His art is prophetic and is a brilliant interpretation in mimicking the essence of nature and it's organic blending of hues, tones and light. Marconi Michael Jackson in Concert, 24 x 24 inches The media is constantly moving and therefore is a living art form which transcends an environment and adds depth, continuity and balance. Marconi's normal inclination is to let the subconscious take over when he works. Later on, he say’s, he realizes what he was painting about. “It’s Marconi Seize the Moment II, 48 x 36 inches the only way for me to create.” Marconi first started painting in the 1960's as a way to balance his long work day and establish a new outlet for his creative energy. Forever, with paintbrush in hand, he followed his vision and expertly painted seascapes and landscapes until he discovered an attraction to abstract expressionism. Inspired to set aside conventional painting tools and traditional scenes, he has since allowed his creativity to evolve without restraint. Now at the young age of 76, he has perfected it in an art form he has branded Color Fusion. Starting in January, Marconi's Color Fusion Art will be featured at two exclusive venues in the OC arena.

The Peter Blake Gallery first opened in 1993 following a philosophy that an art gallery should be more than an arts related retail space. Rather, a gallery should be an exhibition space that showcases the talent of local as well as national and international artists, bringing together the best of every aspect of the art world. Sixteen years later, the gallery continues to be a part of the Laguna Beach arts community by exhibiting local and emerging artists along side some of the most sought-after artists in the nation. The gallery and it's artists have received both regional and national critical acclaim from publications including the Los Angeles Times, OC Register, Riviera Magazine, Art News, Coast Magazine and Art in America.
