QUESTIONS TO EUROPE

WHAT IS EUROPE?

Europe is one of seven continents. All 47 countries in this area are automatically part of Europe. But not all c ountries belong to the European Union.

HOW MANY LANGUAGES ARE THERE IN EUROPE? VEINTICUATRO*

* That’s Spanish and means “twenty-four.”

Officially, 24 different languages are spoken in the European Union. But if you add regional dialects, there are more than 150.

… is the framework of the European Union. The EU Parliament and the Council of Ministers provide the ingredients for new laws. The EU Commission then puts these laws into action. The European Court of Justice keeps an eye on all members and checks if they are behaving properly.

HOW OLD IS EUROPE? 35,000 years ago, the first human beings began to colonize Europe. We speak of ancient times about 2,000 years ago. In that time the first real societies were formed, with functioning laws, schools, and orderly communal living.

CAN EVERYONE COME TO EUROPE?

CAN WE IMAGINE EUROPE AS ONE BIG COUNTRY IN THE FUTURE?

THANK YOU Many thanks to André for the great support and the helpful conversations. Many thanks to Anna, who always supports me. A big thank you to all 137 supporters of the Kickstarter campaign, who helped me realize this project. With the friendly support of the city of Heilbronn and the city of Würzburg.

A children’s book from age 6, which should enable participation in the European project. General questions about the structure and function of Europe and the EU are answered in a playful way. But also difficult current questions in the European context are asked and remain unanswered on a child-friendly level, so that communication between parents and child is encouraged when reading together.
