Hello Neighbors,

Activity was picking up for San Francisco condos at the start of the year, and 1bed/1bath were particularly in high demand in Mission Bay, but a sudden cool down happened in March.

Interest rates reached 7%, the stock market dropped, tech layoffs, and the fall of SVB Bank--these events made buyers very weary of the real estate market, and they were comfortable putting their home search on hold and waiting on the sidelines to see what happens next.

Although rates have gone down in the last week, consumer confidence remains low. I predict that activity will pick up if we start seeing more stability in our local and global markets, but if rates continue to rise, I predict a slow Spring.

If you’re planning to list your home this Spring, we need to start the discussions now.
