The Philip & Patricia Marco Collection Phil and Pat Marco formed a film production company in the 70s which would eventually become one of the premier television production companies in the U.S. With Phil as Director/D.P. and Pat as Executive Producer, they produced hundreds of award-winning high-end television commercials and feature work. In the mid-80s, out of curiosity, Pat went to the Native American Art show at the Armory on Park Avenue in New York. As she walked around, she was stunned by the scope of the creativity artfully expressed with so many varied materials and colors. Pat felt that she had to share this experience with Phil. She called him from a pay phone and told him he had to meet her at the Armory, and see for himself what had excited her so. Responding to her call Phil left to meet Pat, and as she had predicted, Phil was deeply moved by the strength and purpose of these amazing, beautifully crafted objects of art. That evening Pat and Phil each purchased a piece, which marked the beginning of a 35-year love affair with Native American peoples, their art, and traditions.
Phil Marco has created many memorable images in print, television, and cinema for clients throughout the world. He studied fine art at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League. His work is represented at the MoMA, the Museum of Broadcasting Arts, and the George Eastman Museum of Photography, and he is the recipient of virtually every major award of excellence in print and cinematography. He received a Grammy for his work on The Who’s legendary album Tommy, as well as numerous Clios and Cannes Lions. His signature is graphic simplicity. www.PhilMarco.com

Conditions of Sale 1. Some of the lots in this sale are offered subject to a reserve. The reserve is a confidential minimum price agreed upon by the consignor and Skinner, Inc. below which the lot will not be sold. In most cases, the reserve will be set below the estimated range, but in no case will it exceed the estimates listed. A representative of Skinner, Inc. will execute such reserves by bidding for the consignor. In any event and whether or not a lot is subject to a reserve, the auctioneer may reject any bid or raise not commensurate with the value of such lot. 2. All property is sold “as is,� and neither the auctioneer nor any consignor makes any warranties or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the property, and in no event shall they be responsible for the correctness, nor deemed to have made any representation or warranty, of description, genuineness, authorship, attribution, provenance, period, culture, source, origin, or condition of the property and no statement made at the sale, or in the bill of sale, or invoice or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty of representation or an assumption of liability. 3.
