My relationship to photography is not as simple and uncomplicated as I wish it would be. This might be related to the fact that I give too much thought to everything and everyone. It’s a recurring phenomenon that – as soon as I start talking to my family about photography – everybody rolls their eyes. No wonder since it took two years for me to finally buy a new camera. ;)

When I started a small personal blog in 2008 that wasn't suppose to reach a high range, it wasn't that complicated. Back then, I owned a CANON POWERSHOT (model line G - I don't remember the number, I think it was a G11) and took it everywhere. On my blog, I showed DIY ideas and outfits and described my life, especially while I studied in Stuttgart and London. For example, I compared a photo walk on »BRIDGES« (from Blackfriars Bridge to Millennium Bridge) with fashion collections (from Jil Sander to Giambattista Valli) which can be seen here . I experimented with collages and Photoshop and usually edited the pictures myself. With this rudimentary knowledge of a hobby photographer but with a great passion for magazines and visual things, my sister and I started sisterMAG. I remember our first photo shooting very well – or rather my first panic fear of failing. In Stuttgart, we photographed shirts and outdoor jackets with a good friend who almost froze to death during the shooting because
