WELCOME TO THE UC DAVIS COMMUNITY! The Services for International Students and Scholars welcomes you to California and UC Davis. SISS assists international students and scholars, as well as their families, with visa and immigration issues. SISS provides orientations, assistance, and information to international students, faculty, and researchers regarding financial, personal, cultural, and academic concerns. We also coordinate social and educational programs and events for international students, scholars, and families! We are here to help! Campus and Community Resources New Resources on the Website! New information has been added to the SISS website specifically for spouses and partners of international students and scholars! For general information on local and regional clubs and for direct links, please visit the Local and Regional Resources page. There are also new opportunities to get involved on campus! Please visit the new “Get Involved� tab on the SISS website. The Spouse, Partner, and Family Opportunities page will be updated through the quarter so check back often! We hope to see you at many events on campus!
International Cafe Start 2015 off right with a Vision Board! Come create a collage of your 2015 goals with inspiring quotes and photos! When: Thursday, January 15th, 4pm-6pm Where: Student Community Center Multipurpose Room. You are welcome to bring photos or text to add to your Vision Board. Ongoing Events and Activities Shinkoskey Noon Concerts Every Thursday Enjoy musical performances with SISS staff members every Thursday! Children, family, and friends are always welcome! Meet outside the SISS Office at the University House every Thursday* at 11:45 am to walk to the Mondavi Center.** Performances are Noon to 1pm. Ongoing Events and Activities Global Engagement Mondays (GEM) SISS is very proud to introduce a new program beginning January 2015 called GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT MONDAYS (GEM)!
Discuss fun topics, learn about American and other cultures, discuss your own experiences in the U.S. and Davis, and meet domestic and international students and scholars! Discussions will be led by American students!

Join the first ever GEM on January 26th to discuss different types of greetings and share your first experience with greetings in America!
What type of events do you want? The SISS Outreach and Programs Teams wants to plan events and activities that interest you! Please let us know if you have any ideas or if you would like to collaborate with us on future events and activities! Join the International Grad Students’ Partners Association! The mission of IGSPA is to create a network of international partners and spouses who will help each other with their new lives in Davis through exchanging information and tips about jobs, volunteer activities, events, ways to get involved in the Davis community, and more!
