No allotment per lot. But each lot owner is responsible to use ALL water saving devices, including low water landscape. Should a water shortage occur, we do have the authority to limit water deliveries. Please see details in the documents for the Mutual Water Co. Available upon request.

2. Information on the Mutual Water Company:

There is a separate corporation that all lot owners in Cathrein, Hidden Canyon Ranch and other neighboring properties are shareholders of. That is the Hidden Canyon Mutual Water Co. All water delivered to the lots is by the Mutual. This Mutual Water Company HAS NOTHING to do with either HOA in any way. Currently, the water fee per lot is $78.52 per parcel per month PLUS the water consumed charged at $1.54 per CCF (hundred cubic feet which is 748 gallons). The average water bill out here is depending on use. An estimated amount is approximately $100.00 per month. Some run more and some run less. Please see details in the documents for the Mutual Water Co. Available upon request.

the Hidden Canyon HOA which governs the Hidden Canyon Ranch Subdivision properties. The HOA fee for that HOA is approximately $290.00 per month. There is NOT YET an HOA for Cathrein, but the formation of the Catherin Acres HOA is underway. The lot owners in Cathrein will have their own HOA fee. The estimated proposed amount for the HOA fee is approximately $250.00 per month. More details to follow once the white report is received.

CARMEL

In the past, poet Robinson Jeffers’ Tor House, hand built with granite stones he gathered from the shore, stood sentinel on Carmel Point. Today, one-of-a-kind homes pepper Scenic Road and its neighboring streets. White sand Carmel Beach welcomes surfers, walkers and even off-leash dogs that obey voice commands. Coursing through the center of town, Ocean Avenue is rich with destination restaurants and shops. Carmel Mission Basilica and the Outdoor Forest Theater share acclaim as hometown icons.

Carmel Valley is the inland neighbor of coastal Carmel. Bisected by the Carmel River and nestled beneath the perennially green Santa Lucia Mountains, the valley is favored with abundant sunshine, yet its proximity to the Pacific Ocean keeps temperatures in check. Carmel Valley Village is home to a score of wine tasting rooms that showcase local produce. Homeowners dwell in everything from legacy ranch estates to simple riverside cottages.

cultures have added a layer of flavor to Monterey. A military influence is reflected in the presence of the Presidio of Monterey and the Defense Language Institute. It’s a short walk from California’s First Theater to Old Fisherman’s Wharf, where boat captains bid whale watchers and fishing parties to step aboard. John Steinbeck immortalized Cannery Row in literature. One end of the row is now occupied by the world-class Monterey Bay Aquarium. The fairgrounds have hosted such legendary events as the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival and, annually since 1958, the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Nobel Prize-winning native son John Steinbeck is honored at the museum that bears his name, sited in the heart of Oldtown Salinas. From this point radiate neighborhoods of vintage homes, newly constructed developments and some of the world’s richest farmland. Annually, Salinas hosts the California Rodeo and California International Airshow.

Salinas is the seat of Monterey County and its most populous city. This growing community is a comparatively affordable branch of the Monterey Bay family.

Synonymous with great golf and exclusivity, Pebble Beach stands at the pinnacle of Monterey Peninsula addresses. Its residents enjoy unmatched security.

The greens-studded playground of moguls, sports stars, and international achievers, Pebble Beach has hosted six U.S. Open golf tournaments. Pass through one of its 24-hour guarded gates onto the 17-Mile Drive, and be met with estates that exist in a realm of their own. Non-residents must pay a toll to enter “The Forest.” Each year, entrants compete for prestigious trophies at such signature events as the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY

Rising from Monterey Bay’s northerly edge, Santa Cruz embraces a classic seaside amusement park, surfers’ paradise, and a branch of the University of California. Home choices range from cabins constructed in shaded redwood groves to cliffside ocean retreats. A narrow gauge steam train wends through the big trees at Roaring Camp. A drive over the summit of Highway 1 links residents to Silicon Valley. Ocean Street is a place to savor live music, art displays, and wide dining choices.

Bring your surfboard to Santa Cruz County, a land influenced by sea, sun, and Silicon Valley. Generations of pioneers and craftspeople have called the community home.

Home to Silicon Valley, Santa Clara County is an economic center for high technology and in 2015 had the third highest GDP per capita in the world. The county's concentration of wealth, primarily due to the tech industry, has made it the most affluent county on the West Coast of the United States and the most affluent outside the Washington metropolitan area and one of the most affluent places in the United States.

Located on the southern coast of San Francisco Bay, the urbanized Santa Clara Valley within Santa Clara County contains most of the county's population.
