Creator’s Kids Daycare Center is one of the newest Christian daycares designed to help meet the growing need for quality daycare services in the Sioux Falls area.

Located near 77th and Minnesota, Creator’s Kids opened in October 2021 with a mission to provide exceptional childcare in a Christ-like environment through qualified teachers, personalized care, and nutrition. According to Molly Okerlund, founder, and active managing owner, the vision for this childcare and learning academy came a few years ago after many years of serving the community as a foster parent.

“I was provided a lens into the many different childcare options and thought there must be a better model for childcare and early childhood learning. My vision is honestly from God and He has put my hands to use in building a better model. My career in accounting told me the numbers just don't work at the current price model of the typical childcare facility. So, we designed something different.”

Molly describes Creator's Kids as a daycare with better education, better nutrition, and more personalized care.

“We have more qualified, educated, and experienced teachers facilitating an organized and professional curriculum in a Christ-like learning environment. Our modular design supports small classroom sizes and higher teacher-to-student ratios to create an environment for more personalized care,” she said.

Creator’s Kids has many unique amenities throughout that aim to keep children active and engaged:

• Noah’s Ark Indoor Splashpad and Interactive Activity Center allow children to enjoy splashing all year long.

• The outdoor play area features two activity centers designed to promote age-appropriate play. The Discovery Center is designed for young toddlers and includes tunnels, climbing rocks, and music flower chimes to promote language and reasoning skills as well as pattern recognition. The preschool area includes a Great Adventure play structure.

• Intelligent Sensory Wall Boards provide fun STEM learning for all age groups.

• Floor projectors allow for fun interactive games.

• A full-time cook prepares three meals each day using fresh organic and whole foods in the commercial kitchen. Also used as an activity, kids can learn culinary skills and even prepare their snacks.

• The Treehouse Library features age-appropriate books, teacher-guided reading activities, storyboards, and puppet play.

• The Activity Room and Art Gallery allow children to explore arts, crafts, sensory, science and math through hands-on activities.

“The Lord is simply using my hands to do His work and I'm honored to be able to serve Him and our families,” says Molly. “The smiles, hugs, and snuggles every day make it all worth it!”
