THE HEELYS STORY First came rollerskating. Then skateboarding and inline skating. Then came Heelys.
Heelys are the original wheeled shoe, invented by Californian rollerskater Roger Adams and sold across 30 different countries since 2001. And now they’re back - bigger and better than ever before!
Since their explosive launch in the UK, Heelys have continued to evolve and now offer a fantastic range of single and two wheeled shoes in a number of different styles and sizes.
At the peak of the last wave, 2006 and 2007 sales exceeded £30m in the UK with Heelys finding their way into thousands of Christmas stockings. While children who bought into the craze back then have now moved on, early signs are that Heelys are back on the rise, and a whole new generation of children are discovering the excitement for themselves.
We anticipate in excess of 100K pairs being sold across 2012 and the following pages will give you more detail on the range and pricing. You’ll also see what the kids we spoke to think about Heelys. They love them - and we hope you do too!
WHAT DO THE KIDS THINK?
We asked some children to test drive some of our new range and asked them what they thought. We had a brilliant time and Heelys went down a storm – testament to the recent uplift in sales and general interest in the brand. Please click above to see what our Heely trialists said‌.
AUTUMN / WINTER Heelys are the two-in-one shoe that lets you take life at your own pace. With the wheels out, the stylish designs perform and look just like any shoe. When you pop the wheels back in, you roll at a different speed. Heelys are about exploring your freedom, unleashing the fun and empowering you to be fearless.
We now offer a range of single wheel and 2 wheel shoes. Both are easy to ride and are great for co-ordination and balance. The 2 wheel shoes are particularly good for first-time skaters, because two wheels provide more stability. Once the skater is ready for one wheel, the smaller wheel can easily be removed, turning them into a normal pair of Heelys.

SUMMARY
Heelys are back and we are at the start of another upward curve. We have a whole new generation of children to whom Heelys are brand new and exciting, and the new range of products means that there’s something for everybody.
