Zachary M. Saitoti a.k.a. SHIFTEYE Gallery Proprietor / Photographer & Digital Manipulator After high school, where he specialised in sciences, languages and predominantly the arts, Zachary moved to Bristol to pursue two degrees in Graphic Design and Photography. His photography has been described as emotive, often dramatic with dark undertones and yet with a playful twist. Zachary’s interests lie within mainly creative & contemporary photography, stretching to fashion, landscape, surrealist, reportage and staged photography. After leaving university Zachary ran his own business, Shifteye Photography, working as freelance photographer & graphic designer. Zachary branched out into film a couple years ago and has produced several short promotional videos for clients such as Redbull in collaboration with Panhead, a Bristol based record label. Additionally he has been the in house photographer for several magazines, record labels and design companies, such as Soul Motive Records, TRAP Magazine, Watch This Space Magazine & Weapon of Choice Magazine. Recently Zachary opened The Shifteye Gallery, a brand new, unique, state of the art, gallery and event space in the heart of bustling Nairobi. Commercially, Zachary’s work has been appraised both locally and internationally, following several successful exhibitions in London, Bristol and Nairobi. He has had the pleasure of working with an assortment of clients such as FAFA Kenya, Kurt Geiger, ITV Fixers, BBC, True Love Magazine, Prestige Magazine, Janet Mbugua and many more.






The Shifteye Gallery The Shifteye Gallery is a brand new, state of the art, multi-functional art gallery and event space. A space created to showcase a multitude of creative forms of expression, give creative practitioners a platform to interact but above all a space that welcomes all to learn, engage and be inspired. At the Shifteye Gallery we welcome creatives from all over the world. We look forward to working closely with all manner of creative practitioners within Kenya and as well as Africa. Our aim is the continual support of local creative talent, creating a larger, wider platform for artists, in the hope of contributing to the growing recognition of Kenyan art & creativity both nationally & internationally. The space has been intricately designed to exhibit art, dance, music, fashion & all types of presentations. We welcome you to come visit the space and get a feel for it. The Shifteye Gallery is located at the Priory Place; a new commercial building located in Hurlingham. The Priory Place houses secure underground parking & 24hr security.
