Deal sizes increased across the board, with a significant increase in mega-deal signings. News for the future is also good: a 5 percent compound annual growth is predicted over the next two years. MPHRO services include benefits consulting and administration, employee recognition and incentives, HRIS and HRIT, payroll, recruiting and staffing, relocation, screening, training and development. According to the 2014 Aflac WorkForces Report, more than half of participating companies (56 percent) increased employees’ copayments last year and 59 percent plan to do the same before the end of 2014. Wellness programs are being leveraged by organizations to combat costs too. In fact, MetLife’s 12th Annual U.S. Employee Benefit Trends Study reports 41 percent of all employers strongly agree that wellness programs are effective for reducing costs. In addition, 19 percent of companies moved away from traditional major medical insurance in 2013 and instead paired health savings accounts (HSAs) with high-deductible health plans (HDHPs). The market is calling for employees to take greater control of their health and wellness strategies.

Nearly six out of 10 companies outsourced relocation services in 2013. Relocation is on a steady incline, and incentives are playing a key role. Relocation bonuses (54 percent) cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) (45 percent) extended duplicate housing benefits (31 percent), and loss-on-sale protection (29 percent) mark the top five incentives, according to Altas’s survey. Organizations are seeing the benefit of aligning relocation practices with talent management strategies.
