Arts Country is funded by the Sand Plains Community Development Fund The Sand Plains Community Development Fund is a program created to assist rural communities in the Sand Plains region to build a stronger, more diversified economy. This Fund is intended for community initiatives which support regional development; stimulate business, investment and job creation; strengthen local populations and attract visitors. Additional project support provided the South Central Ontario Region (SCOR) Economic Development Corporation SCOR is comprised of the County of Brant, Elgin County, Middlesex County, Norfolk County, and Oxford County. The SCOR Action Plan and a Memorandum of Understanding have been developed and approved by participating Counties. SCOR is working with representatives of the Province of Ontario and the Government of Canada to develop a long-term economic development diversification strategy for the region, and to address other priority needs.
