Thomas and Gates Streets both dead end at the top of the hill above the site. Broadway, because it is a large arterial street, it generates the most traffic around the site. Broadway and Thomas were observed to experience pedestrian and bike traffic from high school students. Additionally, a bus stop is located adjacent to the site on Broadway, near the intersection with Thomas Street. This bus stop is well-used, especially by high school students. The most distinguishing feature of the site is the sloped 0 topography, due to its location on the side of a hill that rises north from Broadway. The site generally slopes up from its southwest corner on Broadway to its northeast
