If you do, then you MUST attend one of the enrollment dates listed below Are you interested in doing an internship in Spring 2013? AAU internships focus on science and higher education policy and allow students to engage in a wide variety of policy-related activities, from conducting research and analysis and tracking legislation, to attending briefings and drafting policy documents for use by our staff and university members. SUMMER HUMAN RIGHTS FELLOWSHIP Humanity in Action invites applications from talented college students and recent graduates who are intellectually gifted, mature, independent and passionate about human rights to spend roughly four weeks in Europe exploring human rights, all expenses paid. Current sophomores, juniors, and seniors and graduates from the undergraduate classes of 2010 and 2011 are eligible to apply. Persona Attention Undergraduate Writers and Artists at the University of Arizona: Persona is accepting submissions for our Spring 2013 issue! Persona is THE undergraduate magazine of art and literature at the University of Arizona. Since its inception in 1978, Persona has been designed, edited, produced, and marketed by a dedicated undergrad staff—selecting and publishing works representative of UA student body creativity. This year, we’re looking for: Literature: fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction (memoirs), screenplays, short plays, monologues, song lyrics Art: drawings, paintings, sculptures, designs, illustrations, photography, printmaking, mixed media, architecture The first deadline for submitting literature is December 3, 2012, and the final deadline for both art and literature is February 4, 2013. Introducing the Hayek Fund for Future Scholars The Institute for Humane Studies wants to help increase their chances of being accepted and funded in their programs of choice. The new Hayek Fund for Future Scholars will reimburse up to $300 in application fees, making it affordable for promising students to apply to more programs. Who is eligible? Undergraduates and recent graduates applying for full-time doctorate or master’s degree programs to start in the 2013-14 academic year; interest in individual and economic freedom, and strong academic potential are essential. Reminders Scholarship Universe Focus Group We are looking for UA students, any grade level, any major, to participate in our focus groups.

The Focus Groups are as follows; 1 Hour sessions that will be moderated by unbiased third-party (Non-OSFA) personnel. There are 8 spots per Focus Group – a total of 32 students is needed. First come, first serve. Participants will receive: Free Pizza Lunch with soda and water aplenty. $10 Gift Card to the Student Union to be used at the dining establishment of their choice. The McGuire Entrepreneurship Program is holding two additional Information Sessions for the 2013-2014 academic year. Information Sessions are held in McClelland Hall Room 202. These sessions will provide information about the McGuire Entrepreneurship Program, student expectations, and the application process, with time at the end for questions. Acceptance to the McGuire Program for undergraduate students is highly competitive and space is limited for graduate students. All interested undergraduate students must attend a McGuire Program Information Session and graduate students are strongly encouraged to attend. Due to high demand, two sessions have been added to our schedule: Wednesday, November 28 – 2:00-3:00 pm. Any questions may be directed to Julie Forster at forstejm@email.arizona.edu. The Rangel International Affairs Program is now accepting applications for the 2013 Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship. The Fellowship welcomes applications from young people interested in careers of international service. For those who want to become Foreign Services Officers in the U.S. Department of State, The Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program provides benefits of up to $90,000 over two years toward a two-year master's degree, arranges internships on Capitol Hill and at U.S. embassies, and provides professional development and support activities. Fellows may use the fellowship to attend a two-year master's program in a U.S. institution to study any area of relevance to the Foreign Service, including international relations, public policy, public administration, languages, or business administration. Upon successful completion of the two-year fellowship, Fellows enter the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State. Applicants must be college seniors or graduates looking to start two-year graduate programs in fall 2013, must have GPAs of at least 3.2, and be U.S. citizens. The program welcomes any undergraduate major and encourages applications from members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service and those with financial need.
