Donate Items for the Refugee Families Arriving in Canada from Afghanistan

futures are reclaimed. During COVID, Arise is collecting gift cards to give as Christmas gifts to the women involved in their program. You can purchase a gift care to Sobeys, Metro, PC and Walmart. The suggested amount is $25. Gift cards can be dropped off at the church anytime before 20th.

Canadian Connections is a grassroots organization that came together this past summer to help the many Afghan Refugees who have arrived in Canada after fleeing the Taliban. Many families are living in hotels while they await permanent housing and they arrived here with very little.

Here are the current needs for these families. • New or gently used winter coats, snow suits, hats, gloves and boots • New socks and underwear or other clothing (All sizes) • Personal hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, pads, tampons, etc.) • Start up Kits for families moving into homes: Lysol, dish soap, hand towels, etc. You can put together a gift package with a note or drop off any of the above items at the church before Dec. 20th.
