Initially assembled for a 2003 tour of West Africa, his Rhythm Collective features a brilliant cast of Puerto Rican musicians playing original pieces and Zenón’s arrangements of songs from the Caribbean lexicon. “The music is all about creating this rhythmic energy that surrounds us Puerto Ricans,” says Zenón, who is releasing the group’s first album Oye!!!
