Networking There is a science behind building your network – for some it comes naturally and for others it takes a bit more work. But one thing’s for certain: you don’t have to be the world’s biggest extrovert to be an expert networker. Practice these tips to become a networking pro!  Be genuine and authentic. Networking is about building relationships.  Remember, you are asking for information, not a job.  Start with people you know, then expand to their acquaintances and finally strangers, after the process becomes second nature.  Specifically communicate to your contacts the type of job or profession you are seeking.  Ask open-ended questions.  Whenever possible, network in person.  As you ask people to help you, remember to ask them how you can help them as well.
