The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences provides medical and surgical services for ocular diseases and eye disorders. The department’s faculty offers ophthalmic consultations and performs computerized visual-field testing, diagnostic electrophysiology testing (electroretinography, visual-evoked potentials), ultrasonography, photography and fluorescein angiography. Subspecialties include retinal and vitreous problems, corneal and external disease, glaucoma, and pediatric ophthalmology. The department also offers ophthalmic pathology services.
