1. Asociación Socio Cultural Estratos; ¿Quiénes somos? La ASC Estratos participa en la promoción y el desarrollo de proyectos de Ocio y Tiempo Libre con todas las edades, especialmente con infancia y juventud. Entre nuestras actividades habituales dedicamos una parte de nuestro trabajo a la animación socio cultural en diferentes eventos como fiestas infantiles, cumpleaños, etc. También llevamos a cabo campamentos urbanos en periodos no lectivos, actividades extraescolares relacionadas con la adquisición de la lengua inglesa de forma amena y multideporte como vía de inicio a la actividad física y a los hábitos de vida saludables en edad escolar. Para estos fines, hemos ido ampliando nuestro campo de actuación gracias a la creación en 2009 de nuestra Escuela de Animación Juvenil Serendipia, a través de la cual organizamos las acciones formativos de la asociación. Como consecuencia del contacto con jóvenes participantes en los cursos de formación, se ha creado, dentro de la ASC Estratos, una sección juvenil sólida y que apuesta por el empoderamiento de los jóvenes escuchando su voz y convirtiéndolos en ciudadanos activos y participativos de la sociedad. Así, la información y el asesoramiento juvenil se han incluido como nuevas actividades directrices de nuestro trabajo. Entorno a esta sección juvenil creamos un proyecto de voluntariado llamado "Navidades Solidarias" que, en estos momentos, prepara su segunda edición para los meses de diciembre y enero. También dedicamos un amplio esfuerzo a la dinamización de espacios urbanos con jóvenes, especialmente durante el verano, cuando podemos desarrollar actividades lúdicas en parques y entornos urbanos de Cuenca. Especialmente pensado para los y las jóvenes tenemos el programa "Jóvenes en la Naturaleza" que ofrece la posibilidad de pasar un fin de semana en un campamento realizando actividades recreativas y aprendiendo a disfrutar de una forma sana mientras se relacionan con otros jóvenes. La creación de redes de apoyo y grupos de voluntariado moviliza cada vez a más jóvenes alrededor de la ASC Estratos. Gracias a esto, en 2010 comenzamos a participar en Intercambios Juveniles y a adentrarnos en el Programa Juventud en Acción del cual, hemos recibido subvención para llevar a acabo dos iniciativas juveniles que ahora mismo estamos desarrollando y un intercambio juvenil que tendrá lugar en marzo de 2013.

2. ¿Qué es un intercambio juvenil del programa Juventud en Acción? Un intercambio ofrece a grupos de jóvenes, procedentes de diferentes países, la posibilidad de encontrarse y de conocer mejor sus culturas respectivas. Los grupos planifican juntos el intercambio en torno a un tema de interés mutuo. No se consideran intercambios las siguientes actividades: Viajes de estudios académicos. Actividades de intercambio con el propósito de un beneficio económico. Actividades de intercambio que pudieran ser clasificadas como turismo. Festivales. Viajes de vacaciones. Cursos de idiomas. Tours de espectáculos. Intercambios escolares. Competiciones deportivas Reuniones reglamentarias de organizaciones Reuniones políticas Campos de trabajo Hay que distinguir dos tipos de participantes: Promotores (presentan y gestionan los proyectos en representación de los participantes). Un intercambio juvenil está basado en una asociación transnacional entre dos o más promotores de distintos países. El promotor puede ser: o
Una organización no gubernamental o asociación sin ánimo de lucro, legalmente establecida en uno de los países del programa.
o
Un organismo público local o regional que trabaje en el ámbito de la juventud.
o
Un grupo de jóvenes no asociado. En este caso, uno de los jóvenes del grupo (representante) asume la responsabilidad de presentar la solicitud y de firmar el convenio de subvención.
Participantes (personas físicas que participan en los proyectos presentados por los promotores); han de cumplir los siguientes requisitos: o
Ser un joven de 13 a 25 años (como excepción, se permite un máximo del 20% de participantes con edades entre 25 y 30 años)
o
Residencia en un país participante del programa

C.I.F.: G-16174864 Todos nuestros intercambios cuentan con la participación de un “Group Leader”, así que el número de participantes siempre es “n” + 1 (que es el “Group Leader”). Esta persona es la encargada, antes, durante y después del intercambio de ser el contacto con la organización del mismo y con la ASC Estratos y, por supuesto, con el Spanish Team que está implicado en el intercambio. El idioma de trabajo en los Intercambios Juveniles en los que participamos es el inglés. Esto no quiere decir que el grupo al completo tenga que tener un elevado nivel de inglés, puesto que confiamos en que hay otras vías de comunicación y de relación con el resto de participantes, pero hay que tener en cuenta que todas las actividades (además de ser obligatorias) se desarrollarán en inglés. Sí que es necesario que dentro del grupo haya alguna persona con un cierto nivel de inglés por el tema de transporte y llegar hasta el lugar del intercambio y para manejar diferentes aspectos de la comunicación con la organización, la preparación, la coordinación y el entendimiento de las actividades. El inglés sí que es un requerimiento un poco más específico a la hora de ser Group Leader o de participar en una APV.
2.1. Financiación de un intercambio juvenil Los intercambios juveniles suelen durar entre 6 y 21 días. Todos los que nosotros proponemos aquí tienen una duración de entre 8 y 10 días. Cada intercambio juvenil lleva asociada una “Visita previa de planificación” (APV en inglés) a la cual asiste una de las personas que participará posteriormente en el intercambio. Esta visita suele ser un fin de semana y se trata de fijar el horario y las actividades que se desarrollarán y la participación activa que cada equipo nacional tendrá durante el intercambio. El número de participantes para estos intercambios es de 5 a 7 personas; mientras que en la APV sólo participa una persona de cada país. Para un intercambio juvenil, cada joven participante debe adquirir sus billetes de transporte desde su ciudad de origen hasta el destino final en el que se realiza el intercambio (ida y vuelta), ajustándose siempre a un presupuesto máximo de gastos que se tiene en cada intercambio (además así podéis calcular el máximo que os va a costar el intercambio). Del total que se haya gastado cada participante en transporte, la entidad organizadora devolverá al final del intercambio el 70% del dinero (siempre en euros) y tras haber cumplido unas normas básicas que se centran, principalmente, en la participación activa durante el intercambio. Los gastos de alojamiento, manutención y actividades están cubiertos por el Programa Juventud en Acción. Para las visitas previas (APV) funciona exactamente igual, a excepción de que se reembolsa el 100% de los gastos de medios de transporte.

Nowadays, many young people tend to be very passive, waiting for others to offer them solutions for their own life, there fore we believe entrepreneurship is an alternative, it is an active way of life, which we want to promote. Entrepreneurship has also social aspect, involving NGO sector, art or sport entrepreneurship etc. Our aim is to empower young people, motivate them to take an active role in their lives and in the lives of their local community. Participants will work in several workshops from developing term entrepreneurship, recognising the etrepreneur in them, discovering ways where they can realise their ideas, to meeting with expert for the etopic, etc. Also during the exchange participants will work the topic of European Year 2012, we will provide intergenerational activities where young people together with elderly people will work on the topic of entrepreneurship. This youth exchange also will be opportunity for young people to discover intercultural richness of Europe trought presenting their countries, cultures and use intercultural dialogue as a tool to understand their own backgrounds and realise their European identity.The results of the project will be published on our website which will be disseminated widely among many youth people in Europe.

For nine days (seven days of activities) we gather 30 young (five participants per country plus a group leader for each group) to become fully active players in building their future. The current social situation is negating the image that young people can have their future and, in some cases, attacks the youth motivation to participate actively in society. In this exchange we aim to reverse some of the global problems that, as individuals, we face daily: youth unemployment, international cooperation, dehumanization and lack of contact with the elderly and the reuse and recycling of materials as breath to natural resources will guide the main activities of the exchange. Since the methodology of non-formal education and making the base of each one of the activities as flag creativity, we take a tour of the topics socially active in our environment and seek solutions available to young people so that, starting with a person change, we engines of social change. The main objective is to find among all the resources that are available to us to be committed youth, entrepreneurs, creative and guarantors of a future active, participatory and socially productive.

We have identified the need to work on this topic with our partners from Europe and decided to organise a youth exchange in Namur, Belgium . Young people from Belgium, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Bulgaria and Turkey will come to Namur for 7 days to reflect about the role of media and become journalists themselves for a couple of days. Media play a very important role in today’s world. They are prerequisites of democracy, but at the same time they influence people very much and especially young people are often confused by different messages coming across from media. We believe it is very important for young people to understand how media work, be able to work with information and process them and think critically about the information they get. This youth exchange will give young people from the EU and Turkey an opportunity to become young journalists and create newspapers, short videos and journalism photos. They will work in international groups, have to divide the tasks, learn how to use new tools, make interviews with local people and create together a final product. At the same time, media will be used as a tool to make young people express their opinions. The main topics will be European citizenship and challenges that young people face (e.g. youth unemployment, social exclusion and marginalisation, etc.) but young people will be free to propose topics which are important for them. These media tools will enable young people to express their opinions on these abstract topics in a creative way which is much easier for them. They will have a chance to try themselves to “produce” media and thus develop their competencies, become more critical about what they hear and see in media and in same time to discover other cultures, break cultural stereotypes and also to enable young people to reflect about European citizenship, youth participation, democracy, intergenerational solidarity and cooperation etc. Media plays very important role in today’s world. They are prerequisites of democracy, but at the same time they have big influence and especially young people are very often confused by different messages coming across from media. Fechas: Del 14 al 22 de abril de 2013 APV: 16 y 17 de febrero de 2013 en Lecce Países participantes: Bulgaria, Rumanía, Nº de participantes: 5 + 1 participantes Portugal, República Checa, Italia y España (36) por país The Youth Exchange “Sorry…I am a Gipsy” is promoted by the organization Work in Progress in order to raise awareness and combat prejudices and stereotypes against Roma and Sinti. Several Local Municipalities of the Province of Lecce and Employability Center of Lecce are supporting the project involving the Roma Communities in our territory. A 8 days Youth Exchange during which 36 participants of different countries work together on intercultural learning of young people through theatre in order to achieve a common objective. The discussion will focus on a key concept: the theatre and education in relation to the needs of a complex society, the social problems, physical and mental. From this reflection will result a “public performance” that will show a culture, the Roma, and playing with its stereotypes, will put into question the blurred border between fiction and reality. 36 young people will be offering a glimpse of a culture in the prejudices, the stereotypes of a racism that involves the European consciousness against Roma people. In Europe there are twelve million, much less in Italy, about 100,000. The majority have become Italian citizens since 1871, while others come from the ex-Yugoslavia and Romania, escaped from war or poverty. It is a decisive step to bring people of different cultures living together in the same place and respect the same rules and values. The main objective of the project, in fact, is to raise awareness of Roma and Sinti communities - about 150 thousand people in Italy - through a different representation, more attentive to their daily lives and folkloristic aspects of their culture, through the direct involvement of Roma people and local communities. The youth exchange has a duration of 8 days during which 36 participants of different countries work together on intercultural learning of young people through theatre in order to achieve a common objective. The discussion will focus on a key concept: the theatre and education in relation to the needs of a complex society, the social problems, physical and mental. Fechas: Del 21 al 30 de abril de 2013 APV: 12 y 13 de enero de 2013 en Bristol Países participantes: Polonia, Francia, Italia, Nº de participantes: 6 + 1 participantes Estonia, República Checa, Reino Unido y España por país (42) « Urban Voices » is a ambitious youth exchange that aims at bringing together in the UK more than 40 young people from 7 different countries: who feel and are Urban artist and Urban citizen. The exchange will take place between 21-30th April 2013 in the Scout House (group accommodation near Bristol). Graff is a interesting creative art of expression often understood by citizens just as negative or destructive. Walking through big cities we can see that public spaces are degradated by tag but we can also be impressed by art pieces painted on illegal places. The « graff » workshops during the exchange will be realized and led by young people from the international teams. There will be different artistic workshop developed: graffitiinstallations- canvas-light graff shows. We will also go through the graff history and go to visit the art museum in Bristol. Educational workshops for participants will also aim at project management, fundraising, preparation of international youth exchanges, creation of international network of youth organizations in European Union, methodology of intercultural learning through urban art experience. urban art history and a citizen approach of graffiti. These workshops will open doors to young people and bring them to deeper reflexion about artistic expression but also its meaning in the urban space. Our Aims : o Create a dynamic network of urban visual artists in Europe o Create the growing collection of urban art moving around Europe o Foster the professional possibilities for artists to exchange techniques and ideas in international project, get wider recognition and link with others, upgrade their professional capacities o Take active part in the public discussion about the message of urban arts and its place in social space Working with young people from our countries will create a special opportunity for the artistic co-operation and development of urban art and will contribute to the future network of young generation of urban artists!

APV: del 22 al 24 de febrero de 2013 en Tallin Países participantes: Estonia, Bulgaria, Nº de participantes: 5 + 1 participantes República Checa, Rumania, Turquía y España por país (36) The youth exchange "Sport It!" is a unique project bringing together both hearing and deaf young people in order to spend one week in a multicultural group. This project is a follow-up of a previous similar integrational youth exchanges that Together Estonia organised in summer of 2011, and that came to be a real success. This time we chose the topic of the exchange to be sport, as we believe that sport plays an important role in our lives and we should promote it. It is especially important to focus on young people and make sport a natural part of their lives, so they will create healthy habits for the rest of their life. The modern and stressed lifestyle is becoming the normal part of European society and we think it is time to make a change. Through this project, we would like to break the barriers between deaf and hearing world and to show that sport is open for everyone, and that it actually can be a common way of communication when regular verbal communication ways are not going. This youth exchange would be an integrative youth exchange, so there will be both hearing and deaf young people. We have noticed that it is no so often when actually these 2 cultures: deaf and hearing are communicating between each other in a regular every day life. Our objectives would be to help all the participants to learn more about each other, break certain prejudices, as well as to help to learn to find new communication ways. One part of the programme will be sport activities, that will be diverse and will help with team building, principles of fair play and communicating. Another part of the project will be creative workshops where we will motivate participants to express their opinions about barriers in sport and how can we fight them. The final product from this project should be a documentary movie showing the progress during the week, interviewing participants about their opinions. We would like to make this video to spread the idea of "sport without barriers" to more people than just the participants.

5. Cómo participar Para participar en cualquiera de los intercambios en los que la ASC Estratos es socia, sólo tienes que encontrar el intercambio cuya temática más se ajusta a tus intereses y motivaciones y decidirte a ser parte activa del mismo antes, durante y después de la actividad y ser socio/a de la ASC Estratos. Todos nuestros intercambios están dirigidos a jóvenes de entre 18 y 25 años. Más un “Group Leader” que no tiene límite de edad. Y si tienes entre 25 y 30 años, podemos incluir a una persona en cada intercambio ya que sólo el 20% de los participantes de los intercambios juveniles de Juventud en Acción pueden estar en ese rango de edad. Una vez que lo hayas seleccionado, descárgate el formulario de solicitud y rellénalo (en inglés, simplemente intenta expresarte en inglés sin necesidad de usar un traductor o algo así y si ves que te resulta totalmente imposible, responde en español las partes que no puedas en inglés) y háznoslo llegar vía mail (nuestros datos de contacto están un poco más adelante) Es importante que elijas un intercambio acorde a tus gustos y motivaciones puesto que todos y todas las participantes serán parte muy activa antes, durante y después de cada intercambio. Una vez que nos envíes tu formulario de solicitud te mandaremos un mail de respuesta confirmando que nos ha llegado; así que si no lo recibes, es probable que haya habido algún problema con la recepción de tu solicitud. Ponte en contacto con nosotros. Además, te facilitaremos la formación en materia del programa Juventud en Acción y desde el momento que seas parte del intercambio comenzarás a estar activo/a en el mismo. La participación en los intercambios empieza ya puesto que entrarás en contacto con el resto de países promotores, con las asociaciones y grupos que forman el intercambio y diseñaréis ajustaréis actividades para el intercambio, la visita previa de planificación, el horario… Es decir, un intercambio empieza mucho antes de viajar al lugar donde se desarrollará. Esta es nuestra forma particular de dar oportunidades a cuántos más jóvenes mejor de sr parte muy activa de la sociedad. Anímate, participa y actúa.
