Different name for composite manhole covers
There are only 3 types of FRP manhole covers,which are BMC manhole covers,SMC manhole covers are FRP/GRP manhole covers. Most factories in China only manufacture BMC manhole covers because of its cheaper cost and low investment and simple technology. BMC is the abbreviation of Bulk molding compounds. People in China often called unsaturated polyester dough molding compound. The main raw material of GF (chopped glass fibers), UP (unsaturated polyester resin),MD (filler) and various additives made by mixing dough prepreg material. SMC is the abbreviation of sheet molding compound. FRP is abbreviation of fiber reinforce plastic and GRP is abbreviation of glass reinforce Plastic. We call FRP or GRP manhole covers for our GRP manhole covers products.
