AUGUST 2014 LIVE REGIONAL MUSICAL ACTS AT SENECA CASINOS NIAGARA FALLS and SALAMANCA, N.Y. – Seneca Casinos’ two resort properties in Western New York continue to offer guests some of the region’s best live entertainment on its main gaming floors during the weekends. STIR at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in Niagara Falls and Casino Bar at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel in Salamanca are the places to be for listening to high-energy musicians while enjoying drinks and gaming. And, as recently announced, every weekend in August will be filled with outdoor entertainment at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. STIR is located in the southwest corner of Seneca Niagara’s completely renovated main gaming floor and features a collection of sights, sounds and tastes that will thrill the senses. A massive 43-foot high-definition video wall with open views from across the gaming floor creates a focal point of activity and excitement. Casino Bar is located in the heart of Seneca Allegany’s gaming floor near the table games, and offers a vibrant gathering place for drinks and live entertainment. The popular STIR Dancers from Las Vegas–based Blair Farrington Entertainment and Productions will be back again on select Fridays and Saturdays this month, with three halfhour performances each night at 9:30 p.m., 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. The dance routines are designed turn up the heat in downtown Niagara Falls’ place-to-be for exciting nightlife and a great escape.
In addition, STIR will welcome three new musical acts to its lineup in August. On Saturday, Aug. 2, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Toronto-based Kelly Vohnn will provide an evening of country and rock tunes. Among her many accomplishments: she opened for Diana Ross and Bill Cosby in Toronto; backed Barbara Streisand at the MGM in Las Vegas; performed a series of Reba McEntire tribute shows at the Harmon Theatre in Las Vegas, and; was the 2010 winner of the Reba McEntire look-alike contest held by none other than Reba herself in New York City. On Saturday, Aug. 9, from 1 to 5 p.m., SHINE will provide contemporary pop and R&B to get energy started early. The band includes seven talented musicians from the Rochester, N.Y. area. And finally, on Sunday, Aug. 31, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Cleveland-based Rick & The Cutting Edge will performance top pop and dance hits during a busy Labor Day weekend. The six-piece band includes a variety of instruments and both male and female vocals. The entertainment in Niagara Falls also can be found outdoors this August with Fire Magick and Cyr Wheel Man along Seneca Square and near the 4th Street entrance. Fire Magick consists of Isis and FloFox, masters of fire and LED-light manipulation. They will perform as a team and solo with fire staffs, fire fans, LED wands, LED fans, LED hoops and fire eating. Cyr Wheel Man manipulates a larger-than-life metal ring, performing feats of strength, agility and balance as the Cyr Wheel spins and rolls. Performances will alternate on the halfhours between 6 p.m. and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and between 1 and 5 p.m. on Sundays.
