»Seit meiner Kindheit beschäftige ich mich mit der am meisten missverstandenen Kunstgattung – mit dem Tanz. Der Tanz ist aber gleichzeitig die älteste und die persönlichste Kunstform. Deshalb verdient sie nicht nur mehr Respekt, sondern auch mehr Sorgfalt, mit der wir ihr begegnen … Mit einer gewissen Genugtuung sehe ich, dass unsere Arbeit nicht umsonst war und dass die Tanzkunst langsam aber sehr sicher immer erwachsener wird …«
