Bishop’s Epistle

April 29, 2018

PENTECOST BIRTH OF THE HOLY CHURCH GOD’S DESIRE! (Acts 2:1-4) Sons and Daughters of my parish flock, God’s Grace to You! T he sounds from heaven was like the wind, but not the wind. The Spirit of God in Hebrew is Ruach, meaning “breath” and “wind.” At Pentecost (Feast of Weeks), the power of the Holy Spirit was like a mighty wind. Eleven more days till we celebrate Pentecost Sunday.

What we saints need today is a mighty wind----a fresh, breaching wind liken to the power on Pentecost Sunday, of A.D. 30. Christ Jesus has been appointed by the Father (YAHWEH) to be the baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:33). Preparation for that is what Simon Peter called for in his first Sermonic Gospel Message: belief in Jesus Christ as Messiah, Savior and Lord and an admission of your need for the “born again” experience of the Holy Spirit manifesting Himself upon our lives. The Pentecost experience is the source of power that brings an unsaved person into the Body of Christ Jesus forever. So, let those who have been Spirit Baptized stop blowing your own breath into the sails of your life and that of our Parish Church. Ask for a fresh wind to fill the sails of your own lives with absolute trust in Him. Without Spirit Baptism, we’ll drift in irons and be lost at sea in a carnal life style in our Christian journey toward heaven. My prayer is that the Lord will fill the sails of Second Baptist Church with the wind of the Holy Spirit and begin with me. Lord, I lift my sails and am ready for the anointing (splendor of His presence) to rest upon everything I do for You by Your Grace! Amen. Until He Comes, I Am Serving Christ Joyfully
