TELL ME: “HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE REMEMBERED WHEN YOU DIE?” Bishop’s Epistle

February 25, 2018 The Call to Worship................................Bishop Dr. Wm. LaRue Dillard

RIGHTEOUS SHARING BY THE SAINTS OF GOD! (Philemon 1:6-20) Sons and Daughters of My Flock, God’s Grace to you!

M

y Love Epistle comes to you from the Epistle from God through the apostle Paul’s writing to the Philemon saints.

The Text says: “The sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord” (Philemon 1:6,20). There is an old saying I heard years ago, “You can’t take it with you!” As a student of the Bible, I say “Not True.” What is implied in the statement is that we can’t take our possessions with us when we die. But I say we will take our soul the inner person made up of mind, intellect and will. That indestructible portion of us which exists beyond death’s door will be eternally affected by what we believe have done and shared because of what we believe. When you permit Christ Jesus to become the Lord of your lives, you will want to share Him His love and the material resources we have received from Him. We grow as healthy, mature saints as we share. Heaven is a glorious eternal life of sharing with God and the whole company of heaven. Helping the living on earth, we become God’s agents with a ministry of intervention. Sharing what we are and have is the best preparation for heavenly life. We will take with us the person who has been prepared to enjoy what God has prepared. We will be uncomfortable when we meet the sharing heart of God if we have refused to share here and now. If you died today, would you be ready? You know you are when the passion of your life is to pass on to others the joy and hope of the Lord. “You give without loving, but you cannot love without giving: ---Amy Carmichael. So, say I! Until He Comes, I Am Serving Christ Joyfully
