Community Spirit Shines Through

Cradle Hill Primary School and their staff have been amazed by the generosity of the community and local businesses, as they have come together to help provide laptops, tablets and printers to support children who may need additional resources whilst they are home learning during the latest lockdown. Local businesses Greve & Son Builders and the Estate Agent Content Club each donated £500.

Jonny Greve said: ‘I had a chat, with my friend Jerry Lyons and both wanted to do something positive to help children who may be missing out on learning due to not having computers. We’re delighted to be able to support the school in our own small way.’ Jerry Lyons, of Estate Agent Content Club, said: ‘We both have children who attend the school, so it seemed fitting to support the tremendous efforts of the teachers’ and staff. Lockdown is hard for everyone but especially for children. It’s important we help each other during these tough times, and I’d encourage any other local businesses to contact schools and see if they can help them.’ Mrs Andrea Keith of Cradle Hill School said: ‘We really have been overwhelmed with the response to this appeal. It is heart-warming to know that our community is there to support our children during this very difficult time. We are very grateful for the generous donations, which will help make a difference to our children and their families.”
