Parents: Shannon Carrell and Tom Dale Jamie is one of the most explosive running backs South Dakota School of Mines has ever had. So much so that after just his first year he was able to set a new school record for points scored in a season with 88 points. He earned DAC I st team honors and did a lot to help the 'Rockers in 2008. Jamie led the team in all purpose yards as well racking up 1,408 and averaging over 150 each game. Jamie has added a few pounds for the 2009 campaign and is looking even better. Jamie also holds the school record in the indoor long jump for the SD Mines track team. Year

Parents: Dave and Diane Russell Nick performed very well in his debut season as the signal caller for the 'Rockers. For a freshman, he played with upperclassmen experience. He is confident in the offense and his teammates and it shows each game he plays.After guiding the 'Rockers to their first winning season in almost 20 years, Nick earned DAC All Conference Honorable Mention honors. Parents:Jim and Lisa Grapentine Zach added some depth to a talented secondary in 2008.As he gets more comfortable with the Hardrocker system he should start to contribute on a weekly basis for SDM. He was a two-year starter as a defensive back and wide receiver with the Belle Fourche Broncs and also returned kicks. In his career he had several interceptions as well as pass break ups.
