Allgier has been an assistant volleyball coach at National American University the last two seasons and an assistant at Rapid City Central High School the past four years. Allgier was a member of the NAU's volleyball team and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor's of science degree in Sports Medicine. "I am very pleased Kristy has accepted our offer to become our new volleyball coach", offered Tech Athletic Director Hugh Welsh. "She is a knowledgeable volleyball person and will bring a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to the program. This is a wonderful opportunity for her to begin a career as a head coach and I know she will do very well." Tech finished 20-16 last season and 7-5 in the DAC-10 Conference. "I am excited about this position and I am looking forward to August 12 when our players report to fall camp," said Allgier. Her husband, Matt, works for Morton Buildings in Rapid City.
