Writing Log #10 Course Reflection This course has been one of the most beneficial and challenging courses I have taken in my college career. As this course being a capstone and one of my three final courses here at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, I have learned a lot throughout my entire time as a student at this amazing college. This course specifically has stood out with all of the practical tools and concept I have learned in this strategic management and decision making course. I have learned a lot about strategizing in a team and how to work hard and efficient. Working in a group project all semester has taught me a lot about my own skills and time management skills. It has made me better at communication, and being open about ideas that I may have to contribute to my group.

Learning about how managers execute strategy successfully in the chapter ten reading of this week has been very beneficial for this final project we are working on as a group. The main goal of this project is to make a sustainable membership model for the OPEN partnership and this chapter helps us to properly execute the strategy of getting to our end result, instead of just telling them the goal without the process. Professor Diasio has made it very clear how important the process of getting to the goal is important, and vital to the success of this project.

Without the process and implication of the tools the client could be lost and have no idea where to start. Or the solutions we try to “sell� will seem less vital if we do not show how the goal is made possible in everyday life. Managers execute strategy by many different ways but not all can be successful. First, by implementing a step by step plan and even adding in deadlines can make the strategy more successful and possible. Like this course having milestones to reach made the class easier and helped us break down the work into segments instead of rushing or on the other hand being way behind. Having those milestones, deadlines, to reach were very helpful and I appreciated them a lot, and I believe my group did as well.

All together this was one of the most beneficial classes, and I am thankful for all the time our professor put into teaching us. His eagerness and availability to meet with us whenever to help out when needed was highly appreciated, and unlike many other teachers sometimes. This class took all the concepts I have learned throughout my four years in college and had us apply them in a real life situation. This class challenged my creative, and informative side and had me get out of my comfort zone by having to present to my peers. That is something I do not like usually doing but this course having to speak on numerous occasions really prepared me for the next time we would have to speak. This was a great course to end my college career on, and I am excited to add this to my resume one day.
