OUR MISSION To preserve the dignity and well-being of commercial and sexually exploited men, women and children through prevention, protection, prosecution and partnership Headquartered in San Diego, California is a 501 © 3 non-profit that was established as a volunteer organization in 1997 and formally incorporated in 2002. BSCC’s goals and objectives include serving as a national wide model with an emphasis on border cities and state to better analyze regions, identify victims and expand our network of wrap around services. BSCC also facilities a multi-disciplinary coalition with law enforcement, social service providers, media, education, and a variety of community members. BSCC is a network of over 120 government and non-profit agencies in the US and Latin America Convened to bilaterally prevent and intervene against human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation.


WHAT WE DO Community Outreach: BSCC organizes forums, conferences and training events at the local, national and international level, addressing prevention and eradication. Educating the community is imperative in identifying and assisting victims of human trafficking. We provide a bilateral multidisciplinary curriculum to educate service professionals and organizations that provide counseling, medical and legal services to victims. Emergency trafficking Hotline: The BSCC Trafficking Hotline is bilingual and available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to assist victims, services provider and concerned citizens (619) 666-2757 Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing: BSCC provides protection through our emergency shelter. Additionally, BSCC’s partners Marist Missionary Sisters provides a two years transitional housing program for survivors of human trafficking. Case management: Assisting clients in evaluating and accessing available services and resources,. Including, but not limited to legal representation, health services, long term housing, counseling, education, navigating VISA processes, translation services, etc. BSCC’s goal is to empower and help clients develop independent living skills. Most importantly, our case manager is always there to provide much needed support.


WHO WE SERVE Domestic Victims of Human Trafficking: A person forced into sexual or labor exploitation by means of force or fraud or coercion. Can also be a non-legal resident, minor or adult trafficked in the United States. International Victims of Human Trafficking: Individuals brought into the United States from a different country with the purpose of exploitation by means force or fraud or coercion. Non-Legal Resident Minor: If an unaccompanied foreign child is in immediate need of shelter and care, contact your local Child Welfare Agency. If the child is in imminent danger call 911 Refugees (on occasion): Individuals who have been forced to leave their country due of natural disaster, war or persecution.


TAKE ACTION Volunteer: BSCC Offer various volunteer opportunities and greatly appreciates help from the community. Attend our monthly Unity Coalition against Trafficking Meetings: Meetings open to the public and held the second Tuesday of every month. Please check our website for more details. Request a training or presentation: Contact us by email or phone, ask for the Outreach Coordinator to request a public awareness presentation or training on how to identify victims. Learn about Human Trafficking: Increase your own awareness by becoming informed on Human Trafficking. Learn how to recognize the warning signs. Visit a selected local San Diego Public Library: Ask for their Trafficking Resource Center. You will find a collection of books, documentaries and films supporting the San Diego Public Library’s awareness campaign, Out of the Shadows” Give: Contribute to the fight against modern day slavery.
