HEATWORKS

Region: Coastal Industry: Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Funding Received: SC Launch, Inc. Investment

Heatworks is reinventing the way the world heats and uses water. Using their patented Ohmic Array Technology, Heatwork’s products do not use traditional heating elements. Instead, through graphite electrodes and advanced electronic controls, the naturally occurring minerals in water are excited, directly and efficiently heating the water. Nothing gets hotter than the water itself, resulting in zero scaling and corrosion. The company’s focus is on the three P’s: purity, precision and performance. Heatworks is located in Mt. Pleasant, SC and was accepted as an SC Launch Client Company in 2011. They received a $200,000 investment in 2011 and a second, $250,000 investment in 2012.
