e’re pleased to once again sponsor the Book of Lists. It’s a great resource that you can refer to when you need to know “who’s doing what” — especially since things seem to change at such a hectic pace these days. Know what else is changing? Health care — and thanks to BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and BlueChoice® HealthPlan, it’s changing for the better. We’re collaborating with physicians across the state to provide a path toward healthy living for all South Carolinians. When you’re making your list of possible health insurance plans and providers, we hope you’ll visit aHealthySC.tv to learn more about what we’re doing. Because when it comes to something as important as your health care, it matters how you’re treated. Pictured from left to right: Mike E. ach year, I look forward to the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Book of Lists. It’s a great way to check in on how Lowcountry businesses have grown and to learn more about our many resources. It is also a wonderful “go to” guide that serves all of us throughout the year. As a business leader, I am grateful to the CRBJ for their phenomenal effort in assembling the data and keeping us informed and up to date. Health care reform has been on everyone’s minds this past year. Trident Health, and most likely all of our health care neighbors, face significant challenges and uncertainties about how health reform and health policy will affect the provision of care. But I can safely say that Trident Health will always remain focused on providing quality health care at the lowest cost possible. We have considerable plans for growth and expansion in the coming years, constantly working on providing health care technologies and services that our residents need and deserve. Trident Medical Center, Summerville Medical Center and Moncks Corner Medical Center — along with their many affiliated physicians and medical practices — will continue to serve the community with a sense of gratitude. We are privileged to serve the residents of this beautiful and vibrant region and look forward to continuing our business relationships with you. Thank you for making the Lowcountry a great place to call home. Todd Gallati CEO and President Trident Health

ll roads lead to Trident Technical College. In fact, nearly everyone that you meet in the Tri-County region has some connection to TTC — individuals, businesses, organizations and industries. For almost 50 years, you have come to TTC to earn degrees and take continuing education courses to acquire new skill-sets for employment; employers even bring workers to train via apprenticeships. You develop the tools that fuel the economic engine of the area in fields that include aeronautics, health care, manufacturing, green business and sustainability. You send your children here — first for Kids College summer camps and QUEST competitions, and later to pursue degrees and an opportunity to transfer to a four-year college or university. And, based on your own connection to TTC, you are aware of our commitment to provide access and opportunity to an affordable, quality education — especially important in the current economic climate. As evidence of TTC’s reach, more than 17,000 credit students enrolled in Fall 2012, and we saw 32,000 noncredit continuing education registrations during 2011.
