THE BIRD BALDWIN HOUSE Modern conveniences await in this beautifully appointed, newly renovated Southern home nestled just off one of Savannah’s famous, beautiful squares. As you step inside to the stone entryway, you’ll enjoy the airy feel of the bright decor. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook a romantic dinner atop stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The master bedroom features a Queen sized bed, desk area, and a flat screen TV. The master bathroom has a clear glass and marble stand-up shower and a pedestal sink. The living room features plenty of seating around a decorative fireplace with a flatscreen TV and a cozy dining area for two. Outside, you can catch a cool Savannah breeze while sipping sweet Southern tea rocking away the summer nights on the rocking chairs on your back patio.

The vacation rental offers everything necessary to enjoy your stay in the historic district of Savannah and has been around for hundreds of years. The home was originally built in 1838 and is the oldest home in Savannah south of Liberty Street. It was built in two stages – the original woodsided portion (left side) was constructed in 1838 and the stucco portion (right side) was added in 1860. Lewis Bird, a prominent Savannah attorney at the time, began the original construction but sadly perished with his entire family on the Steamship Pulaski when it exploded off the coast of North Carolina and sank on June 14, 1838. Mr. Bird’s mother completed the house and later sold it to his law partner Mr. Baldwin who lived in it for many years. As one of the nicer manor homes along Liberty Street in Savannah during the Civil War, the house was seized and occupied by General Sherman’s staff in December 1864 as part of their capture of Savannah during the infamous Sherman’s March to the Sea. Over the years, the house has been a private residence, a boarding house and a neighborhood tavern known as “Harry’s Place.” By the 1960s, it had deteriorated so badly that homeless people were living in it and it had caught fire several times – yet the house miraculously survived.

You won’t find easier access to night life, shopping, and restaurants than at this ultra modern vacation rental next to the Savannah Bee Company and Coffee Fox. With parking provided free of charge nearby at the local garage, you won’t even need to drive during your vacation in Savannah.

As you enter the home you’ll see a great living room with a flat screen TV, gorgeous beam ceiling, and skylights. A fully stocked, stainless steel kitchen with a raised bar is perfect for entertaining and cooking up a great family meal, or just heating up the leftovers from one of the great restaurants located downstairs and just out the front door. THE DIPLOMAT HOUSE This wonderful vacation rental home in the Savannah Historic District has a great outdoor entertaining area with a large pool for your enjoyment. If you are touring the beautiful city of Savannah or if you are here on business, this vacation rental home will be perfect as your home away from home. We believe this is the only Savannah vacation rental with a pool in the Savannah Historic District. Please send us an email if you know of another property so we may refer other guests to the location.

Our home is conveniently located less than 1/2 block from Forsyth Park. You won’t have any problem touring from this location. If you should decide to leave the comfort of your Savannah vacation rental with a pool! In addition to all the amenities offered in this fabulous home, there are multiple restaurants and stores within a stone’s throw of your front door. The Mansion on Forsyth Park, Brighter Day Organic Foods, Sentient Bean Coffee Shop, Local Ten Eleven and the Kroger Grocery Store are just a few restaurants and stores right out your front door!

This wonderful home also has three private parking spots.

Two of the private parking spots are in a garage in the rear of the home and one is located on the street side of the home. This four bedroom home has two bedrooms upstairs with one of the bedrooms overlooking the pool with deck access. The bedrooms in the upstairs of the house are quiet and private allowing guests a great place to relax.

The master bedroom is located downstairs and has a queen bed, exposed beam ceilings, faux fireplace with flat screen television, hardwood floors, and nice blinds over large windows so that you have a choice of letting the beautiful Southern sunshine in or blocking it out. The master bedroom is located just off the living room. The fourth bedroom is located just across from the master bedroom and has a queen bed, hardwood floors, exposed brick, faux fireplace and lots of natural light if you should choose to leave the blinds open.

ELLIS SQUARE LOFT One of our finest properties, Ellis Square Loft, overlooks Broughton St from the third floor. If you’re looking to be right in the middle of the action as well as modern style then Ellis Square Loft is for you. Chic and comfortable this property has every amenity for you to enjoy yourself without ever leaving the loft. If you did manage to leave the loft though you would be, quite literally, steps from all that downtown Savannah has to offer.

The large common area includes not only a gourmet kitchen with everything from a wine chiller to a dishwasher but also a large table with seating for six. Take in your meals with a terrific view of Broughton St. or with the massive living room television on. The seating around the TV itself is plush and comfortable while maintaining the loft’s stylish décor.

The lavish master bedroom is also sure to impress. The kingsize bed in the master bedroom faces yet another gigantic television. The room is just, plain, comfortable. When you get into the master bathroom you’ll begin to notice the romantic streak in our homeowner. A large Jacuzzi tub in addition to the huge shower built for two are there to pamper you.

The guest bedroom has a luxurious queen-size bed and it’s own TV. While it does not have an en suite bathroom a very comfortable bathroom with a huge shower/tub all it’s own is right next-door. You’ll also be happy to see other brilliant additions to the property like a bike rack in the main entryway, an elevator to your floor, and a washer/dryer in the master bedroom.

Ellis Square Loft comes up big in so many ways but maybe the biggest is purely its marvelous location. Tucked on Barnard St between Broughton St and Congress St you won’t have a hard time finding something to do.

Join in on all of the jazz fest activities or one of the many other free concerts that the city of Savannah puts on in Forsyth Park. A nice walk will get you to River Street and a twenty minute drive will get you to Tybee Island to the beach for some fun in the sun. If you’re looking for a fresh cup of coffee or shopping for groceries, The Sentient Bean, Brighter Day, and Kroger are all a 60 second drive away.

The Hip Savannah Pad features a large, modern living room area with a flatscreen TV, decorative fireplace, and plenty of seating as well as a futon. There is also a wide-open kitchen with a writing desk, breakfast area, lots of storage, four-burner range, and all appliances you need to cook an incredibly tasty meal. This home sleeps a maximum of 4 people in two large bedrooms with Queen sized beds, bedside tables with reading lamps, flatscreen TVs, and closets. There is a shared full bath in this home that has central heat & air as well as free Wi-fi and an on-site washer/dryer.

We love this carriage house! The property is located in the heart of the Historic District between Jones Street and Taylor Street; walk to everything that Savannah has to offer! We feel privileged to be able to rent such a fabulous property. During your stay here, you will have access to the courtyard where you can enjoy sunny afternoons or your morning coffee. Venture out and stop by Clary’s famous cafe right around the corner or stroll to River Street. When walking in any direction, you will see parks, squares, restaurants and lots of fun things to do within half a block from the house.

This carriage house has been tastefully decorated and comes with everything you will need to enjoy your stay in Savannah. We strongly recommend that anyone looking to stay in a Savannah vacation rental look seriously at this home. If you are interested in renting this home, please know that we are interested in mature adults that will treat the home as if it was their own. This home has a maximum occupancy of two.

HOME AT 1014 This beautiful vacation rental is just steps away from beautiful Forsyth Park, the Mansion and historic downtown Savannah. This vacation rental is one of the best living spaces for rent in downtown Savannah. If you want to live like a local, then this is the place for you. This completely renovated circa 1890 home has tons of Southern charm and is a fantastic place to entertain friends and family. The entire loft is surrounded by exposed brick and great architectural quirks.

This 5 bedroom 3,000 square foot home has lots of Southern charm. The top floor is a stand alone loft and is 1,500 square feet. There are three bedrooms and two baths in this upstairs loft. The downstairs has an extra 1,500 square feet and has two bedrooms and one really nice bathroom.

Sleeps 2-8, 1500 square ft. and has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a 50 inch plasma TV in the living room, gourmet kitchen with seating for nine, flat screen TVs in all of the bedrooms, heated floors in the bathrooms, and a balcony with a BBQ grill. Come home from a long day touring the city and relax in plush Lazy Boy recliners or lie back and take a nap on the Lazy Boy sofa recliner. The living room has hardwood floors, exposed Savannah brick walls, breakfast table and area rugs, a 50 inch flat screen television, DVD player and tons of free movies The downstairs addition is 1500 square feet and sleeps 2-8.

It is only available if you are renting the entire property and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. There is a Bruiswick full size pool table and a 50 inch plasma TV in the living area and a 42 inch plasma TV in the larger of the two bedrooms.

The downstairs is traditional to transitional in design with reclaimed heart of pine flooring throughout. The smaller of the downstairs bedrooms has a brand new pillow top queen size bed with new linens with access to the bathroom from this bedroom. The second downstairs bedroom has 2 new pillow top queen size beds, clothes storage, great antiques, and a 40 inch flat screen TV with access to the bathroom.

THE JET SETTER The Jet Setter is a beautifully appointed row home well within the Historic District. Park your car off of the street in the back of the property and the first thing you’ll see walking into the home is the beautiful courtyard perfect for relaxing outdoors in the Savannah sun. You can lie in the lounger or sit up to 6 people at the large outdoor table in the shade of one of Savannah’s signature spanish moss covered trees.

All it takes is one foot in the door to travel even further than Savannah. This house is newly remodeled and gorgeous.

The homeowners’ eye for detail is sure to impress. The kitchen is brand new and fitted with everything you need to prepare your favorite meals. The decor of the home is both modern and comfortable with touches of charm everywhere from the school size pull down map window shade, to the suitcase shelves, and the (purely decorative) cookie dispenser. The living room has a mammoth HD television, comfortable seating for everyone in your party, Both bedrooms have new, very comfortable queen-sized beds and large TV’s just in case you are really looking forward to sleeping in on your vacation. The newlyremodeled, perfect bathroom has a gigantic stand-up shower. In terms of comfort, style, and location you will be hard pressed to find a better deal than the Jet Setter in Savannah.

THE LOFT ON THE ROX Fun, funky and fresh are what this stand alone loft is all about in the Historic District of Savannah. This loft sits high above the city with a bird’s eye view of the local life nestled on the corner of Park Street, ½ block to famous Forsyth Park, and 3 blocks from the Mansion on Forsyth.

Outside space in downtown Savannah is hard to come by, but this place has a rooftop deck off of the living room that’s perfect for hanging out in sunny Savannah or having a nice meal at night. We’ve known the owner of the home for several years and have always been envious of the rooftop deck. Sitting outside in the afternoon with a cold glass of sweet tea is about as good as it gets. There is also a balcony that wraps around the entire front of the loft for sitting or people watching.

The home is tastefully furnished with fun and chic wares.

The kitchen has a farm sink, gas range, and a nice bar for sitting and eating. Each bedroom has a queen bed and there is one bathroom with a rainfall shower. This home was completely restored to its original glory three years ago.

The interior has been painstakingly restored with all of its historic details intact.

If you’re looking for something that is going to be fun and entertaining, then this home would be a great choice. With the loft being located a half block from the largest park in downtown Savannah, you will have easy access to many restaurants, shops, tours, and music venues. Join in on all of the jazz fest activities or one of the many other free concerts that the city of Savannah puts on in Forsyth Park.

A nice walk will get you to River Street and a twenty minute drive will get you to Tybee Island to the beach for some fun in the sun.

This landmark includes a museum, library, static aircrafts, displays, archives, research center, bookstore, and gift shop.

Telfair Museum

Designed and built in 1818 by William Jay, the Telfair Mansion was the site of the royal Governor’s residence. The mansion contains many family furnishings. A large wing was added in 1883 that contains superb American and European paintings and sculpture. It is the oldest art museum in the South.

Forsyth Park

This 30-acre park is bordered on the north by Gaston Street, on the south by Park Avenue and has a 1 mile perimeter, making it a popular stop for outdoor enthusiasts. The park’s north end is home to a cast iron fountain that was erected in 1858. The famed Forsyth Park Fountain was designed to resemble the grand fountain in Paris at the Place de la Concorde. An exact replica of the Forsyth Park Fountain resides in Cuzco, Peru. The Forsyth Park Fountain is one of the most popular attractions for Savannah visitors.

The center is covered with glistening white Portuguese stone and consists of two separate structures connected by glass bridges.

Cathedral Of St. John The Baptist

Located on Lafayette Square, built between 1873 and 1876, the Cathedral is an excellent example of French Gothic architecture. Most of the decorative appointments are of European origin and design.

Elegantly restored in 2000 the church is regularly called “breathtaking” and “amazing”! TripAdvisor rated the Cathedral # 6 on its list of top 10 US attractions in 2013.

Leopold’s Ice Cream

Leopold’s is an ice cream parlor circa 1935. Much of the décor is original including the original soda fountain, soda fountain cover, back bar, sundae holders, banana split boats, and malted milk dispenser–all of which are still in use. Even the old Philco radio and the wooden-interior phone booth from the old store are being used!
