The recipe will feature ingredients from a local farm. 12:00pm – Holly Pierce, Just Add Cooking Holly will demonstrate a recipe from the Just Add Cooking repertoire. Her demonstration will focus on sourcing ingredients locally, a practice at the heart of the Just Add Cooking business model. 12:45pm – Ana Patuleia Ortins, Portuguese Cooking Ana will be demonstrating a tasty sauté of garden vegetables & shrimp with fresh goat cheese crumbled on top. 2:00pm – Crystal King, Feast of Sorrow & Chef Pino Maffeo, II Molo Chef Pino & Crystal will prepare an ancient Roman dish; steamed mussels with pepper, lovage, parsley, dried mint, cumin, bayleaves & honey. 3:00pm – Chef Nick Calias, Colonnade Hotel Chef Nick will prepare Roast Maine Family Farms Pork Loin, Look Out Farm Peach & Basil Compote, Green Thumb Confit Potato, Ward Berry Farm Roast Beets and Jasper Hill Farm Bleu. 3:45pm – Todd Herberlein, Volante Farms Chef Todd will prepare a dish using lots of homegrown vegetables. He will discuss the joys and benefits of using local ingredients as much as possible, as well as ways to prepare food to use over the winter.

Network of Massachusetts (SBN)

Launched in 1988 as the Responsible Business Alliance, the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts (SBN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Cambridge, MA with the mission to build a Massachusetts economy that is local, green and fair. In September 2013, SBN celebrated 25 years of supporting and building local entrepreneurship. With over 1000 locally owned and independent businesses, affiliates and individuals participating in SBN’s projects and programs, SBN remains the leading organization of sustainable business in the state.
