WHY DO WE ONLY OFFER SPONSORSHIP OF CHILDREN’S HOMES, SCHOOLS AND CENTERS? The life of an orphaned and vulnerable child is unstable and unfair. When only certain children in the home receive the benefits of sponsorship and the others look on and wonder why they are not sponsored, inequality and feelings of not being valued are perpetuated. This form of sponsorship benefits all the children involved, ensures equal opportunity and creates self-worth. It reduces unnecessary tension among children and allows staff to make better use of time and energy at the home, school or center.

Share Your Christmas Joy® – Many children in Salvation Army centers around the world have never experienced the JOY that Christmas can bring. The SHARE YOUR CHRISTMAS JOY® campaign gives them that unique feeling of excitement, love and joy that only happens at Christmas when we celebrate the birth of our Savior. Financial donations of any size are accepted, and a gift of $100 will provide a Christmas celebration for an entire institution! For more information: www.christmasjoy.centralmissions.org Love in Action – In an effort to end generational poverty, you can provide for one of the following needs on a one-time basis. • Income generating projects – provide families and communities with resources that will enable them to earn money for their families. Projects include farm animals, micro-enterprising loans, vocational skills, etc. • Education – costs for SA schools and children’s homes such as tuition, uniforms, school lunches • Health care – Mobility products such as wheelchairs and crutches, mosquito nets to safeguard from insect born diseases, SA medical clinics
