If loosing is a habit and so is winning. By spurring the effort, students from the School of Arts and Sciences enthusiast the tagline “we will stand, we will fight and together we will rise” which empower them to do so. Considering how much we are all given the opportunities to compete, it is singular how little we are inclined to failures. With this, the way the failure brought us down means a lot for us to go up. The combination of talents, skills, intelligence, dedication, eagerness and perseverance conquers the battle to get the win, to sustain the win and to surpass the previous win. This happens to build the students‟ competitiveness and engagement to this kind of activities which will help them develop talents and skills to work on in the future.

On the other hand, students need to enjoy this annual event to the fullest which is the intramurals without limitation but with proper guidance and supervision. Unfortunately, this year did not happen to give all included competition unlike last year in which some students were unaccustomed to join. Therefore, whatever happened or a courtesy of negative experiences before, if believed to never do the same mistakes again, there‟s no reason of overtaking negative what ifs. It is then the art of moving forward to avoid affecting preferences and to change what was habituated to do before. Moreover, this is not what we want to ponder more about here; it is that the trainings are worthwhile for they have given the best about them. Although it is not always approximately to winning, still, it is a great thing to be proud of.

Dannie Ann.. Dr. Homer L. Montejo ,VicePresident for Administration, Mr. Alan P. Vidal, Head, Globe Telecommunication, and Ms. Lourdes T. Uy, an outstanding businesswoman and owner of Good Chow and Good Year, had a hard time deciding who among the candidates deserve to represent the College for the PASUC OLYMPICS. Dr. Homer Montejo said “Ayaw naming magkamali sa magiging resulta ng

pageant na ito.”That was why the judges deliberately discussed over the final result of the competition before announcing the winners. While waiting for the result, the crowd went wild and crazy waving banners of the remaining top five candidates for men and women category. Cheerers climbed on posts, some came up the stage, others who could not anymore wait for the results left their places.

Nexus Women’s Double covet Silver Medal in Table Tennis Nhonnie Jean Mayores Nexus defended their title in Table Tennis Women‟s Doubles championship at Education building room 117, the 22nd day of August 2013 after taking home the silver medal. Though they failed to bring home the Gold Medal, Crisalyn D. Vitto and Frisamae H. Loto strived hard against Esther M. Ola and Sherry Lou R. Magadia of SEng Matrix. The thirst of triumphant drove the Matrix to score 11-4 and 11-4 during the first sets. Despite the leading scores of Magadia and Ola, Vitto and Loto exerted their full strength in the third set, and whipped the Matrix with the scores of 11-5. The

Recipient of Exemplary Organizational Management 20122013, current Arts and Sciences Student Organization (ARTSSO) President, elected Auditor of the Supreme Student Council (SSC), and emcee extraordinaire --- these are just some but few of the numerous that are adhered to the one and only, Mr. Rafael Constantino R. Seño. As I look at him, I wonder how he manages all the duties entrusted to him. I remember the line which says, “with great power, comes great responsibilities.” And from what he is showing, I could consider him as an epitome of that reality. In fact, most of the people who kn0w him and even those with least knowledge admire his exceptional skills and abilities in different aspects of life. Furthermore, I believe that all of those things have something to do with his valuable experiences as well as with the kind of leadership training that SAS is levying into their students.

Quindoza obtained the silver while Abygail Regencia of Agri Powers brought home the bronze.

With the willingness of the president of ARTSSO, Mr. Rafael Seño, he procreated a group which supports the LGBT movement. It all started during the Search for Mr. and Ms. ARTSSO 2103 when Mr. Seño launched the group named „‟THE BRIGHT LIGHTS‟‟ for their astonishing intermission number.

The game was held at Science Room 117 in Education building last August 22, 2013. Mr. Robert M. Mascareñas, the tournament manager for the Table Tennis administered the said match. Nhonnie Jean Mayores

Recently, Supreme Student Council Federation (SSCF) President, Mr. Ramil Recalde from MSC Torrijos, appointed Mr. Seño as the new SSCF Secretary General. In line with this, last August 19, 2013, he took his Oath of Office with the presence of SUC President II Dr. Romulo H. Malvar and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Leodegario M. Jalos Jr. in essence, he is now one of the students having highest position in the entire campus. With this regard, he will be occupying the SSCF office near the Office of the Student Affairs (OSA). However, Seño shall remain as the President of ARTSSO and shall continue to foster student involvement and development of SAS students as we stand, fight, and together rise. Though, it is another job that requires great labour, Seño accepted the challenge. To aid his hectic schedule, he would continually enforce time management and division of labor to each of the officers.

SAS promotes Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) empowerment through an all gay dance performance considered as one of the newest in the Arts and Sciences organizations.

The group is composed of five beautiful and handsome guys who could easily catch one‟s attention because of their extraordinary looks and personality . They are Paul Mancia (Dazzle Diva), Gerry Celestino (Candice Barbie), Rafael Medallon (Ultraviolet), Mark JC Sevilla (Blaire Wildfire) and Wilbert Malicsi (Flaire Sakura),

In addition, as part of his function as the SSC Auditor, he will be travelling to Davao for leadership training with SSC President Mark Sena and OSA Director Mr. Arnel M. Lantita come September 20-23. Among all student-Secretaries from different schools, it is remarkable that the chosen SSCF General comes from the School of Arts and Sciences. Indeed, Seño brought another pride and honour to the whole SAS.

all are from the Communication Society. This group transpires to be interesting as they wear their 5 inch -heels that impacted all the audience. They convened for another dynamic performance during the Search for Mr. and Ms. MSC Olympics 2013 that conveyed a combination of spurs and heat making the crowd dumbfounded over their hostile steps. With this, they eventually gave SAS department another pride. Be updated on their succeeding shows through Mr.Seño‟s facebook account and catch up more information about this passionate group.
