Join Me On A Journey: Storytelling in Risk Management

The difference between engaged teams with rapt attention, and those who are often only checking boxes, is usually found in the connection that leaders make with employees at their organization. For decades, many risk leaders have tried to blame risk rules and requirements on burdensome regulations. While citing external forces that mandate safety may be persuasive to some, gaining true buy-in and support for risk-taking and risk-awareness requires leaders to dig deep and harness creativity. One effective method to make risk relatable to everyone on your team is through the power of storytelling. Compelling stories move people, connecting the dots in personal and memorable ways. During this keynote session, Melanie Lockwood Herman will explain how to harness storytelling to amplify the success of risk aspirations and activities in your organization.
