Apart from the classic “Tapasporte,” there are another two: the Group “Tapasporte” and the Express “Tapasporte.” The former is for groups of 5 to 15 persons who try to obtain the best average number of tapas among all the participating groups and win an overnight stay in Pazo de Lestrove. The former, which is a smaller version of the “Tapasporte,” is meant for visitors and tourists who are staying in the city for a short time: their goal is to complete six bars, i.e. one per route… and an additional one. Another new feature this year is Gastrobingo, a game that encourages the consumption of official drinks along with the competition’s tapas. Whoever drinks an official red or white wine, water or soft drink will receive an additional stamp in the Gastrobingo part of the “Tapasporte” and is guaranteed to win a prize. VOTING Apart from trying tapas, the public has to reward the best of the 108 competing tapas, using a beermat to vote for each one. This will determine the winner of the Public’s Favourite Tapa 2010 and the Public’s “Excellent 2010” Award for the bar with the best service. On the other hand, a specialised jury (which for the first time this year includes a member chosen from the Facebook community) will firstly draw up a short list of ten tapas, and then choose, from along them, first, second and third prize, amounting to 2,500, 1,500 and 1,000 euros respectively.
