Join our community of artists and designers.

The Sam Fox School offers three primary degree paths in the College of Art: studio art, communication design, and fashion design. You can earn a degree with a deep studio focus or one with a broader liberal arts orientation. Whether you want to publish illustrated books, create sculptural installations, design for public health initiatives, launch your own fashion line, produce aerial drone videos, or make interactive websites, you can forge an educational path to get there.

STUDIO CULTURE

2/3 students earn a dual degree, second major, or minor in another field

Studio is a place for collaboration and creative development. Our students are bright and driven, but also supportive of one another and engaged with social issues and the community. You will learn to make original visual work with technical and conceptual depth, working with faculty who are recognized in their fields, nationally and internationally.

We have expansive, state-of-theart spaces for digital fabrication, woodworking, metalworking, textile design, photography, and video, as well as an integrated printmaking + book arts studio. Juniors and seniors have their own studio spaces. The School is also home to the world-class Kemper Art Museum and the Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library.
