DR. CHANDLER AND JANE PARIS SMITH OPERA SERIES Samford students who aspire to careers in opera are developing their art at a time of exciting changes. Some are finding professional work even before they graduate. The voice faculty inspire students not only by teaching in the classroom, but also by maintaining rich performance careers. Dr. Chandler and Jane Paris Smith have encouraged these students and faculty many times in recent years through direct support of their performances. This year, the Smiths have generously devoted themselves to an entire season of Samford opera productions. Their support underwrites a season that includes the Christmas classic Amahl and the Night Visitors, a January Opera Outreach Tour and our annual Opera Scenes production.
