Letter from the Editor
Dear Loyal Readers, “Long, long ago, before I was a tormented artist, afflicted with longing yet incapable of forming durable attachments, long before this, I was a glorious ruler uniting all of a divided country—so I was told by the fortune-teller who examined my palm. Great things, she said, are ahead of you, or perhaps behind you; it is difficult to be sure. And yet, she added, what is the difference? Right now you are a child holding hands with a fortune-teller. All the rest is hypothesis and dream.” -Louise Glück, Faithful and Virtuous Night I keep re-reading this poem that a friend sent to me. It makes so much sense to me right now, in this moment.

I hope that it makes sense to you! You have to live for yourself. You can’t live every day constantly comparing yourself to other people. Their journey is not your journey. Your journey is special and unique to you. The best may have already happened, but the hope for most is that the best is yet to come. Trying to live someone else’s life is a recipe for disaster and unhappiness. Been there. Done that. Constantly comparing your path to other people’s path is not living, it is draining. Enjoy your journey in this wonderful weird world we live in. So, live for today. And live your own authentic life! As always, I hope you enjoy your escape!
