The registration fee includes: • inclusion in the alphabetical list in the Official Catalog and on the Event’s Website • 1 copy of the Official Catalog • exhibitor’s badges in accordance with the size of the area assigned and one parking space (8sqm stand: 5 badges, 1 parking space – 9 to 16 sqm stand: 10 badges, 1 parking space – 17 to 32 sqm stand: 15 badges, 1 parking place – 33 to 64 sqm stand: 20 badges, 1 parking space – 65 to 100 sqm stand: 25 badges, 1 parking space – 101 to 200 sqm stand: 30 badges, 1 parking space – stands greater than 201 sqm: 40 badges, 1 parking space. REGULATIONS ON FREE-PROJECT AREAS Upon confirmation of the space booking, the participant’s contact person will receive the Regulations and Safety Pack by email, containing the information and the documentation required by the Organizer, and also general regulations pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 81/2008, as amended and supplemented. The Exhibitor shall submit the stand construction project for the area assigned to Eventi3 - Technical Dept. by and no later 8 April 2013. The exhibiting area only option does not include the event’s official stand fittings, and consequently is provided without walls, carpeting, lighting system and furniture.

REGULATIONS OF THE EVENT

Please read these Regulations carefully. Having signed the application form, the Exhibitor has agreed to accept them in full. No exception to the conditions expressly indicated herein is allowed.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

Art. 1 - Definitions - “Event” means the “International Book Fair” organized by GL events Italia S.p.A. at the Lingotto Fiere of Turin, via Nizza 294 from 16 to 20 May 2013. “Regulations” means these general regulations. “Organizer” means the entity in charge of the Organization of the Event, which enters into this agreement in its capacity as lessor of the exhibiting areas and provider of exhibition services. “Promoter” means Fondazione per il Libro, la Musica e la Cultura. “Exhibitors” means those who participate in the Event as users of the exhibiting areas. “Guest Exhibitors” means those who participate in the Event as guests inside Exhibitors’ stands, and consequently are not considered stand holders. They are entitled to receive 1 exhibitor badge granting access to the Exhibition Ground. PARTICIPATION RULES Art. 3 - Participation Requirements - Participation to the Event is allowed to all the Companies whose activity is included on the “Product Classification” list (Form 3A/3B enclosed herewith). GL events Italia S.p.A. reserves the right to accept the application, to change the area assigned at its absolute discretion, and to make any verification deemed necessary. GL events Italia S.p.A. has no obligation to verify the information received, and the person or entity providing the information is fully responsible for it, waiving any right to object to any decision adopted by GL events Italia S.p.A., and accepting all its decisions at such regard, and may not claim any compensation or indemnity also for damage related to the area assigned and/or positioning of other companies. Participation is open also to Public Bodies, Associations, Consortia, Institutes, etc. promoting, supporting or performing the aforesaid activities. Art. 4 - Application Form and Payment - The application form, duly signed in all its parts, must be sent to the Organizer to the following fax number: +39 011 6644372 - GL events Italia S.p.A. The Application Form must be submitted with the advance payment due, in the amount determined by the Organizer. The balance shall be settled upon receipt of the invoice, and in any case by and no later 8 April 2013. Starting from such date, in case of failure to pay the full amount, the Organizer may refuse admission to the Event to the defaulting Exhibitor. The foregoing will not affect the Organizer’s right to demand payment of the full amount due, plus a 20% penalty, without prejudice to the right to any damages. Application forms not duly signed and/or not accompanied by an advice payment will be disregarded. Art. 5 - Acceptance - The Organizer reserves the right to change, at its total discretion, the positioning and form of the Exhibiting Area and the stand assigned. In case of changes, the Exhibitor shall not be entitled either to raise any objections or to claim any damages. The Organizer shall inform the Exhibitor in writing of acceptance of the application form. Art. 6 - Stand Assignment - The stand assignment will be made by GL events Italia S.p.A. through the “Stand Assignment Notice”; the Exhibitor has no right to question the assignment or object to or reject the stand assigned. Any indications or special requests given or made by the Exhibitor will be deemed as mere suggestions, and will not be binding or conditional on the Application Form, and consequently will be considered as not included. GL events Italia S.p.A. reserves the right to amend participation modes and the location of the stand assigned by virtue of its unquestionable right to replace the space assigned with another one having a similar or a different location or size. In case of changes, the Exhibitor is not entitled to any compensation, which is expressly waived, and GL events Italia S.p.A. will have the right to supplement any invoice already issued and issue another invoice if deemed necessary. Only upon settlement of the balance due will the Exhibitor be entitled to occupy the assigned space. In no case may such right be transferred to third parties. Art. 7 - Withdrawal - Withdrawal, for any reason, from the Event must be notified by registered letter or telegram to the Organizer at least 60 days prior to the Event. In that case, the Organizer shall be entitled to keep the registration fee paid by the Exhibitor and Guest Exhibitors as a reimbursement of costs incurred. In case of receipt of withdrawal notices after the 60th but no later than the 30th day prior to the Event, GL events Italia S.p.A. will be entitled to keep or demand the full advance payment due. If the withdrawal notice is received after the 30th day prior to the Event, and by 26 April 2013, the Exhibitor shall be obliged to pay the entire amount due for participation. In the event of withdrawal from 27 April 2013, the Exhibitor will be entitled to the payment of the full amount due, plus a 20% penalty, without prejudice to any right to claim further damages. Art. 8 - Badges - Each Exhibitor will receive free entry badges in the number defined by the Organizer, proportionally to the size of the Stand Assigned. Each badge shall indicate the beneficiary’s name, otherwise it will not grant access to the Event. Moreover, each Guest Exhibitor will receive one entry badge.

EXHIBITOR’S UNDERTAKINGS AND LIABILITY Art. 9 - Exhibitor’s Liability - The Exhibitor shall be liable for any direct or indirect damage caused to the Organizer, other Exhibitors and any third party by it or its employees, staff, and contractors during the Event. Art. 10 - Surveillance and Cleaning - The custody and surveillance of the Exhibiting Area and all materials located on it on set-up, exhibiting (both when the Event is open and closed to the public) and dismantling days are the responsibility of each Exhibitor. Consequently, the Organizer is not responsible for any objects or goods left unattended on the Exhibiting Area either during opening hours or when the Event is closed to the public. As regards daily surveillance during closing hours and nighttime surveillance, the Exhibitor may use specific staff with prior notification to the Organizer, indicating full details of the persons concerned, and after receiving the Organizer’s written authorization. The cleaning of the stand will be at the Exhibitor’s care, and may be carried out only in the hour preceding the daily opening of the Event. After said hour, waste may not be left outside the Stand. The Exhibitor can request, through the specific form, the services provided by the only cleaning company authorized, which applies controlled prices (Form S of the Exhibitor’s Manual). Art. 11 - Insurance - The registration fee includes an absolute first-loss insurance policy with the insurance company selected by the Organizer against fire and ancillary risks for a total amount of Euros 26,000, and a third-party liability insurance against damage caused to third parties on the premises of Lingotto Fiere and the Stand with a single limit of up to Euros 52,000. Furthermore, the Exhibitor shall take out the following additional insurance policies, of which it shall provide evidence upon request: a) against theft (including breakage) fire, and damage caused to third parties due to willful misconduct or negligence and ancillary risks covering all the products exhibited in full and the value of the exhibiting structure; b) against third-party liability for a maximum insured value of no less than Euro 206,600. It is understood that all insurance policies shall include a clause whereby the Exhibitor waives the right to claim damages from the Organizer, and must be effective for the entire period in which the Exhibitor and its goods will be on Lingotto Fiere’s premises. Failure to take out the insurance policies herein will result in the loss for the Exhibitor of any right to claim the damages that otherwise would have been covered by said policies, if taken out, and the Exhibitor shall be liable to third parties directly, holding the Organizer harmless and indemnified from any claims that may be raised by such third parties against the Organizer. Art. 12 - Catalog of the Event and Online Catalog - The Organizer reserves the exclusive right to publish and sell the Official Catalog of the Event. The Exhibitor shall provide the data to be included into the Catalog under its own responsibility, through the relevant form, to be sent to the Organizer by and no later than 8 April 2013, with the form of declaration of consent under Italian Data Protection Law 196/03, as amended and integrated. The Organizer and its staff will not be liable for any mistakes or omissions in the Catalog. Art. 13 - Reproduction Rights - The Exhibitor hereby consents to graphic and photographic reproductions and/or video recordings of the halls and anything included therein, and the sale of said recordings and reproductions by the Organizer. Art. 14 - Display of Products - Only the publications and products realized by the Exhibitor or Guest Exhibitors may be displayed on the Stand. The Exhibitor is obliged to display its products. Art. 15 - Sound Level - The maximum sound level allowed inside the Lingotto Fiere during the Event is 85 dB (A), and Exhibitors are strictly required to observe such limit, and, in any case, shall comply with any requests made by the Organizer to reduce the sound level. Art. 16 - S.I.A.E. Rights - Film projections and music reproductions through specific devices are subject to the payment of copyright royalties. Detailed information on payment conditions and the rights concerned can be requested from S.I.A.E. (Società Italiana Autori Editori - Corso Stati Uniti 20 - 10128 Torino - ph. +39 011 5165611), with whom the Exhibitor shall liaise in advance of the Event. On exhibition days, a S.I.A.E. representative will visit the stands and make the inspections required. The Exhibitor will be requested to sign the relevant inspection report. A copy of the report will be sent to the Event’s Organizers, who will charge the Exhibitor with S.I.A.E. royalties without any additional charges, and which the Exhibitor hereby agrees to pay. Art. 17 - Guest Exhibitor’s Liability - The Exhibitor undertakes to inform its Guest Exhibitors about these Regulations and ensure their compliance, and will be liable directly for any breaches or failures by Guest Exhibitors. OPENING HOURS AND EXHIBITOR’S ACCESS Art. 18 - The Event will be open to the public on Thursday 16, Sunday 19 and Monday 20 May 2013, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday 17 and Saturday 18 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Exhibitor will be granted access to its Stand on Thursday 16, two hours before the opening to the public, and on the following days one hour before the opening. The Organizer reserves the right to change the dates of the Events, and the opening and closing hours, and the Exhibitor shall not be entitled to claims any damages or indemnities. PROHIBITIONS, BREACHES AND SANCTIONS Art. 19 - Advertising - Advertising of any kind on the premises of Lingotto Fiere is exclusively reserved for the Organizer. Any form of advertising requiring the use of a loud voice, loudspeakers or other visual or sound devices or means, including the distribution of catalogs, price lists and other promotional material outside the stand, is forbidden. The prohibition also includes any advertising activity that may cause disturbance or damage the reputation of the Event or its proper running, such as interviews, requests to take out subscriptions, etc. Art. 20 - Desertion - The Exhibitor may not abandon the Stand during the Event. Should the Exhibitor abandon it


for any reason, the Organizer will be entitled to have any material located on the Stand or outside of it removed at the Exhibitor’s risk and expenses. The Exhibitors also agrees that the Organizer will have the right to withhold such material, and the Exhibitor will be charged a fine in the amount of Euros 1,000 as reimbursement of costs incurred. Art. 21 - Unattended Material - Any remaining materials will be collected by the Official Forwarder (Shenker Italia S.p.A. - Ph. +39 011 6644405/06) and taken to its warehouse at the Exhibitor’s expenses and risk. Should the Exhibitor fail to remove all the material by the deadline indicated, it will be charged a fine of Euros 2,000, without prejudice to further damages. In the event that the Exhibitor fails to clear the Stand, and goods must be removed, the Organizer reserves the right of seizure of such goods. Art. 22 - Sanctions - The Exhibitor will be charged a 1,000 Euro fine if it parks any vehicles on any other areas than those reserved for it, both on set-up and exhibiting days. If the Exhibitor realizes a project which is different from the one submitted to the Technical Dept. of the Event, a fine in the amount of 100 Euro per square meter of Exhibiting Area assigned will be charged. In any case the Exhibitor shall rebuild the stand in accordance with the original project. Payment of the fines applied shall be made on the first day of the Event.

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

SET-UP AND DISMANTLING Art. 32 - Set-up Operations - For free-project stands, set-up operations may start on 9 May 2013. On 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 May 2013, set-up operations may be carried out from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On 15 May 2013 it will only be possible to place books and goods inside the stand from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., unless otherwise notified. For safety reasons, and for the purpose of enabling inspections by the Provincial Surveillance Commission, stands and their electrical and water systems shall be completed by 14 May. As previously specified, on 15 May set-up operations concerning the stand construction are not allowed, and Exhibitors will only be allowed to locate their goods on the stand. Exhibitors who have opted for a pre-equipped stand will be entitled to have access to their stand on 15 May 2013 only, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Art. 23 - Termination - In case of breach of the provisions set forth in Article 10, 11, 14, 15, 19, 20, 22, 24, 29 and 30, the Organizer will have the right to terminate this contract and demand the payment of Euros 1,500 as a penalty for the damage suffered, without prejudice to any amount due by the Exhibitor and further damages. Such penalty may be applied independently of the decision to terminate the contract. Termination will be effective immediately after the Exhibitor is notified of the Organizer’s decision to apply such right. Should the Organizer terminate the contract when the Event is underway, the Exhibitor shall promptly cease any activity on the Stand and remove any materials from it by the deadline indicated by the Organizer. The Exhibitor hereby declares to waive the right to raise any objections, and agrees to defer its defense to a later stage, through a legal proceeding before the judicial authority.

Art. 33 - Dismantling Operations - Dismantling operations in free-project stands will start on 21 May 2013. On 21, 22 and 23 May dismantling operations will be carried out from 8 a. to 8 p.m., unless otherwise notified. On 21 May 2013, for safety reasons, dismantling of the stand structure will not be allowed before 1 p.m., but it will only be possible to remove books, advertising material, etc.

DELIVERY OF GOODS

Art. 34 - Extra Time - Concessions to extend the aforesaid hours may be requested in writing through “Form G Extra Time” of the Exhibitor’s Manual, indicating the full name of the persons involved, at least 12 hours in advance. Extra time will be charged at the hourly rate of Euros 256 + VAT per each exhibiting area (minimum billable amount: 1 hour, in addition to which it will be possible to demand extensions of at least half an hour each).

Art. 24 - The management and control of operations related to the delivery of goods at the Lingotto Fiere, cartage, drayage, and delivery to halls and vice versa, are reserved exclusively for the Official Transporter (Form D of the Exhibitor’s Manual). The latter may also, upon request, collect the goods at their place of origin and deal with all legal requirements related to transport. The use of mechanical machines inside Lingotto Fiere for the unloading of goods is allowed only to the Official Transporter, who may rent them to the Exhibitor at controlled prices. Alternatively, the Exhibitor may carry goods inside the hall only by hand or using push devices. In any case the Organizer will be held harmless against any liability under the civil and criminal laws in connection with operations carried out by the Official Transporter or by the Exhibitor. SPECIFIC REGULATIONS Art. 25 - Use of the Logo - The Exhibitor may use the official logo of the Event in its communications and on printed material exclusively in its original lettering only after receiving express written authorization by GL events Italia S.p.A. and by the owner. Art. 26 - Cancellation - Should the Event be cancelled for any reason, the Exhibitor will be promptly notified and refunded of the amount paid. Any damage or indemnity is expressly excluded. The Exhibitor hereby waives any right to claim any damages or indemnities. Art. 27 - Severance - Should any articles herein or parts thereof be void or ineffective, this will not affect the remaining articles or parts thereof, which will remain valid and effective. Art. 28 - Jurisdiction - By signing this contract, the Exhibitor undertakes to read and comply with all articles contained in the General Regulations and in the Technical Regulations set forth by GL events Italia S.p.A. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Regulations or related to the Exhibitor’s participation in the Event shall be submitted to the decision of the Court of Turin, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS Art. 29 - Technical Rules - By signing this contract, the Exhibitor undertakes to read and comply with all the articles contained in the General Regulations, the Technical Regulations, the Regulations for the Installation of Electricity, and Fire Prevention Regulations set forth by GL events Italia S.p.A. Art. 30 - Observance of the Law - The Exhibitor shall comply with any applicable law and regulation, including but not limited to, copyright laws, S.I.A.E. regulations, laws on Public Safety, fire prevention, accidents, hygiene in the workplace, safety at work, and in particular the provisions of Law Decree 81/08, as amended and supplemented. Art. 31 - New Rules - GL events Italia S.p.A. reserves the right to adopt, with prior written notification, new mandatory rules and provisions with immediate effect, which the Exhibitor hereby agrees to observe, waiving any right to challenge their applicability or mandatory character.

Exhibitors who have opted for a pre-equipped stand shall remove everything by 1 p.m. of 21 May 2013. The Organizer reserves the right to remove, at the Exhibitor’s risk and expenses, all materials not collected by the deadline indicated.

Art. 35 - Access to the Exhibition Ground During Set-up and Dismantling Operations - Access to the exhibition ground is subject to the observance of the applicable safety provisions provided by the Organizer, and the granting of entry passes. Entry passes will be sent to the Exhibitor by email. As regards free-project stands, in addition to the provisions indicated above, the granting of entry passes will be subject to the Organizer’s approval of the project for the Stand. It is important to remind that the staff employed during set-up and dismantling operations shall display an identification badge; such badge must be clearly visible, and contain the information required under the applicable law. Access to the halls by vehicles is prohibited: the only exception concerns electric lift trucks or, in the event that no alternative solution is objectively possible for the unloading of particularly bulky and heavy materials, vehicles expressly authorized by the Organizer, and subject to sumbission of the P.I. Form (included in the Exhibitor’s Kit and the Exhibitor’s Manual). Parking near the halls must be strictly restricted to the time required for the loading and unloading of goods and equipment. The use of mechanical machines inside Lingotto Fiere for the unloading of goods is allowed to the Official Transporter only. Exhibitors can rent them from it at controlled prices using “Form D - Transport and Drayage Services” of the Exhibitor’s Manual. In any case the Organizer will be held harmless against any liability under the civil and criminal laws in connection with operations carried out by the Official Transporter or by the Exhibitor. EXHIBITOR’S UNDERTAKINGS AND PROHIBITIONS Art. 36 - Removal of Materials from the Stand - Each exhibitor shall, at the end of each event, remove - at its own care and expenses - the area assigned, collecting all goods and set-up materials, including floor carpeting and bi-adhesive tapes. The area shall be returned to the Organizer in its original conditions of use and hygiene, as it was delivered to the Exhibitor. Otherwise the Organizer reserves the right to charge the expenses for the cleaning service. For the disposal of demolition material, the Organizer will provide specific metal containers. Art. 37 - Rules on Machines Displayed - Machines on display may not be activated, unless authorized in writing by GL events Italia S.p.A. Quarter Head Office, provided that it will not cause either risks nor disturbance. In such case, machines must be equipped with the necessary devices in order to prevent injuries, loud noise, smell and the emission of gases or liquids; inside the halls, machines may not be activated through spark ignition engines and shall not use fuel or gas cylinders; tanks shall be emptied, and battery cables disconnected. In any case, they shall be compliant with statutory laws and regulations, manufactured with high technical standards, and accompanied by the relevant documentation issued by the competent authorities. The Exhibitor shall be exclusively liable under the civil and criminal law for any injuries and/or damages that third parties may suffer as a consequence of non-compliance or breach of rules and/or oral instructions. The Organizer shall have the right to order that any non-compliant machines be removed from the Lingotto Fiere, or to remove them directly. Art. 38 - Fire Extinguishers - All free-project stands shall include fire extinguishers in the number of 1 every 50 sqm of exhibiting space, as required by the applicable laws. As regards pre-built stands, the Organizer shall provide them with the number of extinguishers required under the applicable laws. PROHIBITIONS Art. 39 - Exhibitors may not hide, cover or obstruct access to hydrants and alarm or service buttons inside exhibiting areas, which shall always be accessible, ready for use and clearly indicated. In addition, Exhibitors shall guarantee that any general service for the exhibition that may be located on their stand can be easily accessed and inspected, such as power, water or compressed-air supply panels, telephones connections, etc.


Art. 39.1 - Making modifications to the areas, holes or breakages, and the removal of objects are strictly forbidden. Art. 39.2 - Hanging cables or objects to the hall ceiling by the Exhibitor directly is forbidden. Art. 39.3 - It is forbidden to cover, move or remove sound diffusion devices inside the hall and monitoring and surveillance CCTV cameras, whose visual area must be kept clear, and their full functionality preserved in any case. Art. 39.4 - The Organizer reserves the right to have stand constructions or parts thereof that may cause damage or disturbance to other Exhibitors or the public removed or modified at the Exhibitor’s expenses, including the event that they lack the level of presentability required, in case of furniture not in line with the quality standards of the Event, or if they are not compliant with these Regulations. Art. 39.5 - In case of modification, tampering or damage verified by the surveillance staff to the structures or objects provided by the Organizer, the Exhibitor will be charged the expenses related to their restoration or replacement. Art. 39.6 - The Organizer reserves the right, at this regard, to allow one-off exceptions on an exclusive basis, if based on unquestionable exhibiting needs and requested at least 7 days ahead of the opening of the Event. In such case, the Organizer shall provide specific instructions and operating rules, whose strict observance by the Exhibitor is an essential condition for the validity of said exceptions. Art. 39.7 - Vehicles parked inside the Exhibition Ground during set-up, exhibiting and dismantling hours shall be removed by the time of closure of such activities. It is strictly forbidden to leave vehicles inside the fair (both inside the halls and in the external areas nearby) when the Exhibition Ground are closed both during the day and at night. Art. 39.8 - For technical reasons, the use of other Access Points and Wifi technology devices for WLAN networks (IEEE 802.11) is forbidden, including in case of use for private purposes. FURTHER PROVISIONS CONCERNING FREE-PROJECT STANDS Art. 40 - Project Presentation - Each Exhibitor shall submit a stand construction project for the assigned area in advance to the Technical Dept., including light installations. It is sufficient to send a map and a scaled prospectus, showing all structural elements and furniture to be located inside the area, by facsimile to +39 011 5694012, or by email to: ufficio.tecnico@salonelibro.it. Art. 40.1 - Each Exhibitor shall, upon completion of set-up operations, submit a certification of proper strutural stand construction (CM Form of the Exhibitor’s Kit and the Exhibitor’s Manual), duly filled out in full and signed by an authorized professional (architect or engineer). Said form shall be sent to the Organizer, or delivered on the premises directly, before the event opens to the public. In case of failure to produce the aforesaid certification form, the Organizer shall be entitled to carry out the verifications required and issue the relevant certifications through its own staff, charging the Exhibitor the amount of Euro 300.00 + VAT. Art. 41 - Requirements on Stand Construction Materials - Materials used for stand construction must be compliant with the following requirements: - to be fire-proof, either originally non-inflammable or after a fire-retardant treatment; - the use of plastic materials is strictly forbidden, except for class-1 materials - the use of synthetic-fiber texture which cannot undergo fire-retardant treatment is forbidden - the use of varnishes, paints, and glues not included into class 1 or 2 is forbidden - the use of free flames and gases is not allowed - walls and hanging must be made using materials of a class not higher than 1 - floorings must be in a material of a class not higher than 2 - materials used for ceilings or ceiling coverings must have been approved for class 1, tested on ceiling All materials used must be listed in full on the P.I. Form under Art. 35 above. Art. 42 - Demarcation of the Area - The Exhibitor shall strictly observe the demarcation line of exhibiting areas, marked on the floor of the hall and shown in the map provided by the Technical Dept. Art. 43 - Covering of Structural Components and Access for Inspection - Exhibitors may find reinforced-concrete pillars on their stand, which can be covered by the Exhibitor at its own expenses and care, preserving the access to all systems located on such pillars and to the stand perimeter for inspection purposes. In particular, hydrants and emergency buttons shall be visible, accessible, and immediately usable. Any covering on pillars and systems inside the stand must be kept at a distance of at least 10 cm from them, while in case of perimeter pillars the covering may trespass the perimeter line only by the thickness of the covering material. The Exhibitor may not to cover pillars placed outside the perimeter of its area. Art. 44 - Perimeter Walls - Exhibitors are not allowed to use as a back wall of their stand the rear of any neighboring stands, if any, and spaces must have self-standing perimeter walls along all sides not facing passage aisles or areas open to the public. The backs of perimeter walls of the space assigned must also be decorated in order to guarantee the aesthetic continuity of the entire area assigned. Spaces adjacent to perimeter walls must be fitted so that any back wall is self-supporting and at a distance of at least 20 cm from the wall of the hall. In any case, the walls of the stand may not be anchored to the walls or structures of the roof of the exhibiting area. Art. 45 - Height - Perimeter stand structures shall not exceed m 2.50 in height from ground. Within a 50-cm buffer zone it will be possible to extend structures beyond such limit, up to a maximum height of m 4, with the Organizer’s prior authorization. Parts exceeding the 2.5 limit in height shall be decorated on both sides. Posting signs on non-open sides is forbidden. In case of “insular” exhibiting areas, Exhibitors may build their stand higher than 4m by using the specific form in the Exhibitor’s Manual. Art. 46 - Open Sides - Each open side facing aisles or common areas may not be closed using blind walls for over 50% of their length. Blind walls whose length is in excess of 3 m shall include open spaces or see-through parts of at least 1 m. The Organizer may change said limits by notifying Exhibitors, and grant exceptions from time to time, without any right for the other Exhibitors to claim such right or to complain about any exception made.

Art. 47 - Access to the Stand - In areas open to the public, stand must be fully accessible for disabled visitors; in particular, any raised platforms, if higher than 3 cm, pursuant to the applicable regulations, shall be equipped with a clearly indicated ramp. Art. 48 - Hangings and Aluminum Trusses - Aluminum trusses used for the display of graphic materials are considered part of the stand fittings, and must be hanging at a height which is lower than the maximum construction height, and shall be within a buffer zone of 50 cm from the perimeter. Only if used for the installation of lighting may they be 1 m higher than the stand construction. Exhibitors who need to have hanging points at their disposal must send their request to the Technical Dept., a file of the aluminum truss or support concerned, in DWG format, with dimensioned layout, showing each anchorage points needed, so that the Organizer may assess its feasibility. Exhibitors shall comply with the provisions on the testing of the stability and safety of suspended loads, pursuant to circular No. 1689 SG205/4 of the Ministry of Interior. Art. 49 - Multi-story Stand - Should the Organizer authorize the construction of a multi-story stand, or including access staircases, steps shall be of a rectangular size, not higher than 19 cm, and at least 26 cm deep. Every 15 steps there must be a landing, of a width equal to that of the stairs, and at least 120 cm deep. Banisters along the stairs and on the upper stories shall be at least 1 m high, and have at least two rails, with the intermediate one placed halfway between the upper one and the floor, and a continuous floor level fascia on the ground with the function of a foot skirting board. The size of banisters shall be such as to withstand the maximum stress they may be subjected to. Should the upper floors be used to accommodate more than 25 people, such floors shall be served by at least 2 stairs, with a minimum width of 1.2 meters each. In any case, order to certify as to their full usability, documented evidence shall be produced proving inspection of the structures with a load test adequate to the stress forecast, as well as proper installation and assembly.

ACCIDENT PREVENTION AND SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE Art. 50 - The Exhibitor must comply with the regulations in force on safety in the workplace, in particular Legislative Decree No. 81/2008 as amended and supplemented. The Exhibitor, when assigning the task of performing set-up and dismantling operations, or any other work inside the Exhibition Ground, shall observe the following rules: - verify, also through the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Craftsmanship, the technical and professional qualifications of contracting firms or self-employed workers in connection with the workers to be employed for the performance of the works let out on contract; - provide them with detailed information on the specific risks involved in the environment where they will work, and detailed information on prevention and emergency measures adopted in connection with their activity; - coordinate protection and prevention operations in connection with the risks to which workers are exposed, getting reciprocally informed in order to eliminate risks due to any interferences between the companies working on the whole project. The Exhibitor shall promote coordination actions, considering the specific risks involved in working inside the Exhibition Ground, which are described in detail, but by way of example only, in these Regulations. The Exhibitor shall also inform all those who will work inside the Exhibition Ground about existing prohibitions, prescriptions and risks. GL events Italia S.p.A. shall not be liable for any facts or consequences arising out of non-observance of the aforesaid laws and regulations, and reserves the right to claim compensation before any court of jurisdiction or other authority for any damages suffered as a result of such non-compliance. Pursuant to paragraphs 4 and 5 of Art. 26 of Legislative Decree No. 81/08 as amended and supplemented, in case of delay in or failure to produce the documents required under the aforesaid Art. 26 (documents evidencing technical and professional qualifications, excerpt from the Risk Assessment under art. 28, and/or Single Document of Interference Risk Assessment, an estimate of safety-related costs, and any other document agreed by the parties on safety), this contract will be void, pursuant to Art. 1418 of the Italian Civil Code, since lacking a material requirement for its performance. The Single Document on Interference Risk Assessment drafted shall constitute an annex to this contract, pursuant to paragraph 3 of the aforesaid Art. 26. REGULATIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICITY Art. 51 - Strict observance of the provisions set forth in Art.14 of the General Regulations on stand construction is an essential condition for the approval of electrical installations mounted on exhibition stands. The electrical systems installed must be manufactured by companies with appropriate qualification requirements under Ministerial Decree No. 37/08, and only material suitable for installation, with the (Italian or EEC) quality mark. Moreover, all systems above 6 KW must be accompanied by a project drafted and signed by an authorized technician. The Exhibitor must check the voltage of the grid when connecting its systems, and shall hold the Organizer and the Official Supplier of the electrical systems against any liability for any possible damage to people or objects due to lack of check of the feeding voltage or any other cause. - All installations must be completed 24 hours before the opening. At the beginning of installation operations, stand constructors must contact qualified technicians designated by GL events Italia S.p.A., who will check the system, providing advice during installation, and certifying compliance with the Regulations, only after which the installation will be connected to the grid. Electrical installations must conform to the following indications: a) installation after the safety socket with fuses, supplied by GL events Italia S.p.A., of a thermomagnetic differential switch of a capacity appropriate for the power used and of 30mA (0.03 Ampères) differential. Switches of other ratings are not permitted. Only for electrical machines will a separate line powered from a switch differential of 0.3A be permitted. Example: - 1 KW requested (single phase) is a thermomagnetic circuit two-pole breaker 6 -10A; I∆= 30mA - 10 KW requested (three phase) is a thermomagnetic circuit four-pole breaker 15A; I∆= 30mA After this thermomagnetic switch there must be as many thermomagnetic automatic circuit breaker switches as there are lines leading off.


The subdivision of the circuits must be done using automatic circuit breaker omnipolar switches of a maximum of 10A, except for circuits used for power devices demanding specifically more than 10A. Each switch must protect the weakest piece of equipment or cable with the smallest section. Except in case of need, it is advisable to use automatic switches of 10A maximum for individual power needs over 1KW (SEE FIGURE 1). The abovementioned switches must be fixed to the wall or in any case fixed at a height not less than 0.50 meters from the floor.

The minimum electrical cable allowed section is 1.5 mm2 . The use of equipment with original wiring not less than 0.8 mm2 if appropriate to the load is accepted. It will be allowed to place cables under platforms on the following conditions: 1)there are no any kind of gaskets or branch points 2)cables are multipolar, FG7 type, and inside flexible sheathings b) All electrical wiring must be in multipolar insulated cable in compliance with CEI-20-22 standards. Wires must be protected by a heavy PVC tube or conduit or a similar method. All connections must have appropriate clips (insulated caps etc.) which must be enclosed in a box with a protection rating of at least IP 40. c) Earthing: all fixed devices which constitute the fittings of the stand, all sockets, all metal structures, the metal terminal box etc. must be earthed using an appropriate yellow/green protection conduit. Wires may not be wound around the structures: suitable wire terminals or clamps must be used. The sockets must be protected by a spring door or covered recesses. The power points for machinery and equipment of over 1000W must have, immediately before them, an automatic circuit breaker switch or fuses on all phases. The socket lines must be protected by a thermomagnetic switch with a differential of max. 10A. Multiple sockets, extension leads and adapters are not permitted. d) All said sockets must be fixed at no less than 20 cm. from the floor. All spotlights, especially those with halogen bulbs, must be placed in a non-accessible position and in any case away from combustible material. Halogen lamps must also be protected by a glass screen and all the manufacturer’s indications concerning the minimum distance from other solid bodies must be respected. All 12V halogen lamps, in addition to the glass protection, must be powered through a safety transformer. If mounted on combustible supports, the bulbs used must carry the identification tag with temperature class F. The power supply trap door must be kept accessible. Any wooden platforms must therefore be shaped accordingly in the proximity of the trap door (SEE FIGURE 2).

FIRE PREVENTION REGULATIONS (Pursuant to circular No.12 of 17 May 1980 of the Ministry of the Interior, the decree of 6 July 1983 of the Ministry of the Interior, as amended and supplemented, decree of 26 June 1984 of the Ministry of the Interior, of 10 March 2005 and of 15 March 2005.) Art. 52 - Only material certified under Ministerial Decree of 26 June 1984 may be used in the stand, according to the class of reaction to fire and on the basis of tests carried out by the Study and Trial Center of the Ministry of the Interior in Rome, and by legally recognized Bodies and Laboratories. Art. 52.1 - Walls and hangings must be made of materials of class not above 1. The flooring must be in a material not above class 2. The material used for ceilings and ceiling coverings must have been passed for class 1, tested on the ceiling, or as hangings without dripping. Materials used for flooring, walls and ceilings (if any) on routes towards emergency exits, must be in fire class 1, for a maximum of 50% of the overall surface, and any remaining part must be of class 0 material. Two combustible materials may be used together, in walls or ceilings, only if the combined product has been passed as set forth at paragraph 1. Art. 52.2 - All stand materials must be installed in strict observance of all the provisions contained in their approval certification. Products used for fire-resistant treatments must be used exclusively on the materials referred to in the ministerial test certificates or by legally recognized laboratories. Art. 52.3 - Materials which must be treated with fire-resistant products must undergo this treatment before they enter Lingotto Fiere. Fire resistant treatment must be accompanied by an official declaration specifying: a) the Exhibitor’s company name, hall and stand number b) list of materials subjected to fire-resistant treatment c) date of treatment d) size of surfaces treated e) main technical properties of the product used f) personal data of the technician, who must sign that the treatment has been carried out in compliance with the regulations. Art. 52.4 - All materials must be accompanied by their test certificates, specifying that they have passed the standards detailed in articles 1 and 2, in addition to documents which certify their place of origin. Art. 52.5 - The use of the following materials is prohibited: non-certified plastics, fabrics in non-fire-resistant synthetic fibers, nitrocellulose and oil-based varnishes and paints, mats and rugs, trellises, curtains made up of thin wooden rods or similar, wall-paper and all materials not accompanied by a safety standard certificate as specified above. Art. 52.6 - It is forbidden to hide, cover or prevent access to any hydrant boxes, portable extinguishers, and alarm buttons at the service of the exhibition areas. Hydrants must always be kept accessible, ready for use and indicated in accordance with the Italian fire fighting laws. Art. 52.7 - Metal structures subject to high levels of stress must be protected using officially certified products which guarantee fire resistance in accordance with the fire load, pursuant to circular No.91 of the Ministry of the Interior of 14 September 1961. Art. 52.8 - Each stand must be equipped with extinguishers of no less than 6 kg. capacity, of the type and with the fire extinguishing characteristics of fire classes A, B, C and E, and checked within the last six months, with one every 50 sqm of exhibiting area. As set forth in the Decree of the Ministry of the Interior dated 20 December 1982, as from 19 January 1987 only extinguishers of approved types may be sold, and as from 20 December 1998 extinguishers without this official approval may no longer be used. In the event that any non-observance of these regulations is ascertained by the staff designated, the Organizer will act independently, through its official supplier of fire-fighting equipment, at the full expense of the Exhibitor, in order to install any missing extinguishers. Art. 52.9 - Exhibitors must also strictly comply with any other obligations that the Provincial Commission for Safety in Public Places may deem necessary to introduce after its inspection, and that may be communicated by the Organizers, if required. Exhibitors authorize the Organizer to adopt any measures that may be deemed necessary in order to remedy any failure to comply with the provisions above, to protect Exhibitors’ and visitors’ safety, and ensure the proper running of the Event.
