YOUTH POTTERY: CLAY TRINKETS

SECRET FAIRY GARDEN
Age: 6-10 years Date: Saturday, April 6 Time: 2 to 4 p.m. Fee: $17, includes materials Place: Winter Island Function Hall (great art space with great views) Design and create a miniature fairy garden with flowers, small stones and dried natural products. Add a fairy house and some furniture made of natural materials such as twigs, acorns, stones, and shells. Add a fence to help keep your garden secret and a reflecting pool, too. DESIGN AN AMUSEMENT PARK
Age: 6-10 Date: Saturday, Oct. 13 Time: 2-4 p.m. Place: Function Hall at Winter Island Cost: $17, includes materials (minimum children needed: eight) Have an afternoon of fun using your imagination to create the amusement park of your dreams. Be the designer, architect, engineer as you work with a variety of art materials to create a 3-D bird’s-eye view. What kind of rides will it have? What will make yours different than any

PAINT PARTY FAMILY NIGHT
Age: 5 and up, with an adult Date: Friday, Jan. 18 (Snow date, Jan. 25) Time: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fee: $10 Place: Senior Center, 5 Broad St. Participants will create various strokes and textures with paint, using a variety of wacky materials on large paper. Loosen up, experiment and enjoy the process with your child. No painting experience necessary. All materials supplied. Open to children 5 and older, accompanied by an adult. Limit 20 people total. CRAZY COMBOS FAMILY NIGHT

Participants will use aluminum foil and acrylics to create textured art that shimmers. Loosen up, experiment and enjoy the process with your child. No painting experience necessary.
