YOUTH COMIC BOOK CLUB
Ages: Grades 4-6 Date: Feb. 27, March 6, 13, 20 Fee: $7 Time: 5-6 p.m. Place: Senior Center, 5 Broad St. If your head spins when your child explains the difference between Robin, Nightwing and Red Hood, send them to Comic Book Club. Here, they can discuss the various incarnations of Robin, as well as many other age-old comic book questions, such as: “Who is faster, Superman or The Flash?” and “Who is Batman’s fiercest foe?” Students may bring their own comic books to class to share. The instructor will also provide some. Note: Just like the movies, comic books come with ratings. Comic books that appeal to this age group are rated ‘T’ for teen and are appropriate for most readers 13 and up.
POTTERY FOR TEENS
Age: 13-18 years Date: Session I Sept. 21 to Oct. 26; Session II Nov. 2 to Dec. 14 Time: 4:30 to 6 p.m. Fee: $250 Place: ClayWorks Pottery Studio, 53 Mason St. Join us in a small class environment with lots of individual instruction while you learn to throw on potter’s wheel and hand build with clay. Basic glazing techniques will also be taught. Instructor: Kathy Wells, pottery teacher.
POTTERY: HALLOWEEN
Age: 6-10 years Date: Oct. 3 and 17 Time: 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. Fee: $45 Place: ClayWorks Pottery Studio, 53 Mason St. Have a spooky good time while we make fun Halloween projects. Ghosts, coffins, black cats. 6
Use your imagination. Week one, create the project; week two glaze (paint) the project. Instructor: Kathy Wells, pottery teacher.

Age: 7-22 years Date: Nov. 5 and 19 Time: 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Fee: $40 Place: ClayWorks Pottery Studio, 53 Mason St. Come join us for a fun class and make two cookie plates, which could be wonderful holiday gifts. This class is specifically designed for students with special needs. Instructor: Kathy Wells, pottery teacher.
