Y Cares (Financial Assistance Program)

Through generous donations and volunteer support we are able to send hundreds of children to camp every summer who may not have afforded our programs otherwise. The Rye Y offers financial assistance for families who qualify. If you need assistance with the application or have questions please don’t hesitate to contact us. If you would like to support our Annual Campaign please make a pledge on the registration form or online at www.ryeymca.org

Extended Care

Dedicated Staff

Rye Y camps are led by a team of full-time professional directors. Our passionate and dedicated summer staff are selected for their strong character, maturity, enthusiasm and commitment to our Y values and serve as Professional Role Models for our campers.

We provide a supervised extension to a camper’s typical day for all camps with the exception of Kinder Camp. Morning Extended Care is available for Discovery, Sports, Adventure, CITs and Specialty Camps directly at the Osborn School. Gymnastics Camp AM Extended Care is located at the Rye Y. In the afternoon, Gymnastics campers can be bused to the Osborn School for PM Extended Care along with the other campers on-site there. Extended care is not available for Kinder Camp Programs. Please note that this is a separate registration.

REGISTRATION DATES: Counselor-to-Camper Ratios

Rye Y Camps are proudly accredited by the American Camp Association. The ACA holds camps like ours to higher standards than local licensing requirements. Among these standards are our counselor-to-camper ratios. We far exceed local requirements with lower than 1:6 counselor to camper ratio with our youngest camper groups and up to 1:10 with our oldest campers. At the Rye Y, we feel that the quality of our programs and success of your campers relies on low counselor-to-camper ratios and that is exactly what we deliver!

Camping With a Purpose

Campers will gain new abilities, challenge themselves with the unexplored and learn to work with others as a team. Nothing is more rewarding than watching a camper’s joy as they learn a new skill or meet new friends.
