“My first experience in industrial design was the creation of ceramic tiles collections in Vladivostok, then I moved to Moscow and became involved in exhibit design, but at the same time I also participated in various competitions and developed my projects. My dream is to have my own studio where each day I could create using eco-friendly technologies the beautiful and functional things affordable to everybody.”

Hexagon project A contemporary multiple workstation requires a new approach to furniture and its function. Mobility, flexibility and transformability are important components of Open Space offices. The main idea of the project is that the hexagon-shaped unit can serve either as an individual workplace or as the whole bench system with the freestanding cabinets. “Bench” solutions have become an integral part of today’s offices allowing to organize either a team brainstorming or individual work. Modular system offers the benefits of working and creates inviting, space-efficient workstations where people feel comfortable and connected. It incorporates special features to address the acoustic challenges of the open plan offices.

Since then they have worked with various companies, which include Renault, FIATAlfaRomeo, La Murrina, Serralunga, Crystalplant, Special Systems and Technologies, SKOL, etc. This design team specializes in product design and light design in particular, as well as interior and transportation design. In their work a smart concept meets technology to create a unique sculptural object.

“We enjoy exploring complicated ideas and achieving perfection in a sharp quality of production.

Symphony The concept of the chandelier explores the connection between light and sound waves and their resemblance. It is visualized in 3 interlaced spatial ribbons of translucent silicone which imitate rows of tubes. This 3D pattern contributes to the perception of the musical instruments theme. The composition forms a dynamic sculpture of the cold spectrum colours, where the overlaying and intersecting surfaces create an outstanding colour effect. The complex structure creates an impression of a vivid object, while, in fact, the shape is plain and clear.

Lampslamp It is made with the use of burned-out halogen lamps that provide brilliant light effect through a translucent layer of violet silicone. The light itself proceeds from one central bulb. The opposite arrangement of lamps inside and outside of the LAMPSLAMP creates convenient complexity. The 3D pattern of the pendant declares that a very simple and familiar object can reveal its exceptional and dramatic beauty when it is put in a peculiar way.

In the new project Dmitry really wanted to show people something simple but also with meaning. For basic material he chose wood as a symbol of nature and purity. Inside of it is the LEDs system which is very economical, as it requires only 5 volts of energy. LEDs are arranged in a circle, as in the EU flag (since the premier of the project was planned in Europe) but Dmitry had to increase the number of LEDs from 12 to 24 to make the light brighter.

“In my opinion, it is high time to change the standards of connection for electric devices, and the exposed contacts and wires should remain in the past. The main goal is to show the application of the method of electromagnetic induction in daily life on the example of household appliances. This technology can help to fix many defects of an ordinary electrical wiring. It allows people not to worry about the connection points in the areas with high humidity and to keep children in safety. 17

“We design and manufacture high quality furniture and accessories. Our young Moscow based workshop started production in the beginning of 2013. Our goal is to bring bright colors, unique creations, and interesting stories to people’s lives.”

SUN TABLE

RED HOT CHILI TABLE We were inspired by Chilies and wanted to capture the powerful color, unique iconic shape and, of course, their spice. Our table was born from two areas of thinking. One is to create a sexy, stylish, modern coffee table, another is to give the simple functionality of a regular coffee table using simple and functional materials. The shape was our key area, through designing models from different materials and shapes. We wanted to create a form that hasn’t been used before for a table. That’s why we had the idea to construct a form where two identical chilies fit in the outlining of a rectangle.

30

We have created an inspiring table that combines simplicity with positive energy, through its dynamic design and vibrant colors, light passes through the table, bringing the object to life.

ACAPULCO CHAIR Within our workshop we have brought the technology of crafting the Acapulco Chair to Russia. Nowadays, the chair is one of the symbols of the happy and glamorous lifestyle of the 1960’s and a real icon in furniture design.

Vladimir Ivanov - a designer from the very heart of Siberia. Graduated from Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building. After working as an architect, Vladimir has plunged into the design world and now is moving forward successfully winning design awards in different locations. In his work, the Siberian designer uses concrete, metal and wood. At the same time Vladimir creates quite unusual, simple and clear design objects desired in the interior. The Siberian designer despite others has not moved to the Russian capital, however, he participates regularly with his furniture pieces and lamps mainly in the significant exhibitions in Russia and abroad. The famous British designer Ross Lovegrove has highly estimated the designer’s Boulder project during one of the international contests. It reminded him the works of the great Japanese architect Isamu Noguchi.
